[Nepeta stands behind a brightly decorated stall in one of the main areas of Freyr, looking bright and chipper and even more excited than usual.

"Black and Blue" is the name announced across the front of the stall, with lots of not-completely-professionally drawn pictures of the services offered at Equius’ and her shop.

She has a smile on her face as she cheerfully accosts passers-by, offering them a tray of cupcakes, and she seems to have enlisted Aurthour to do the same, while Pounce carries an open bag of sweets in her mouth to draw people in.

Nepeta and Pounce both have a cute black and blue ribbon tied above one ear, and Aurthour seems to have acquired the same as a bowtie. Oh! And it looks like a certain glowering moirail of Nepeta’s has been talked into wearing the same as he presides behind the stall.]

I honestly do not know, but I expect it was something revealed after I expired within the bounds of the game.

No. At least not initially. We were transferred into a strange game that comprised another world at the moment of destruction.

An unnecessarily complex, convoluted contest referred to as SGRUB. The details of the affair are barely worth getting into. It was, perhaps, the most idiotic and foolish display of competitive prowess I ever encountered.

Was it one of those so-called fates worse than death?

Imagine failing miserably and being stock in a cramped quarters watching four morons try to do what you failed to do through the television screen, when all you have to talk to are nine equally insufferable gits who argue with themselves and their future and past selves constantly, one tolerable dead woman you can't speak to due to social constraints and one shining light of normalcy usually too busy trying to figure out how to get everyone to start having romantic liaisons.

Were it not for the abominable lack of proper technology that would permit me to fashion robotics, I'd call it an improvement. I'll settle for status quo for the time being. It is, at the least, different from the asteroid.

That's insane, people use robots to make cars.

Those are pre-programmed mechanized limbs humans call robots. Inferior, pathetic constructions compared to the glory of even my simplest fabrications, worth of nothing but my pummeling them to dust. Real robots have at least some programmable intellect in their false think pans.

Lucky you. My world hasn't gotten that far. Yet.

I do find it fortunate. However, an interstellar conquest requires certain power and technology.

Ah, perhas your society is locked to a single terrestrial sphere. My people have conquered thousands of planets. Travel requires technological advancements most humans lack.

Are all those planets gone now?

[alternia_strength]

Alternia I am aware of. The rest of the empire's status I cannot say for certain. I am quite expired at this point, after all. You'd have to ask a surviving one. Perhaps ... no, she remembers nothing of the future.

Perhaps one of the ones who stops in later might remember. They come back and forth often.

One more question, did you ever find any humans?

... I spent the last three months of my life watching for exceptionally idiotic examples of their species make general fools of themselves playing their version of the game, so yes. Yes I believe we found them.
