[Nepeta stands behind a brightly decorated stall in one of the main areas of Freyr, looking bright and chipper and even more excited than usual.

"Black and Blue" is the name announced across the front of the stall, with lots of not-completely-professionally drawn pictures of the services offered at Equius’ and her shop.

She has a smile on her face as she cheerfully accosts passers-by, offering them a tray of cupcakes, and she seems to have enlisted Aurthour to do the same, while Pounce carries an open bag of sweets in her mouth to draw people in.

Nepeta and Pounce both have a cute black and blue ribbon tied above one ear, and Aurthour seems to have acquired the same as a bowtie. Oh! And it looks like a certain glowering moirail of Nepeta’s has been talked into wearing the same as he presides behind the stall.]

[The only one, actually, but shh. She’s having too much fun with this.]

It seems one or two already have. They are not even all of our world.

[He looked disparagingly over at Aurthour for participating in the nonsense that was a cake in a cup. However, he relented and nodded.]

Just one, if you don't mind. We wouldn't want the customers to miss out.

[A good excuse.]

Humans purrticularly like free things, I've found out! They don't worry about them not being safe the way trolls do.

[Wow Equius, stop looking at Aurthour like that, he is a lovely and considerate lusus!]

Here's one with blue frosting! I kept it especially fur you.

It is a strange fact, but they do appear to enjoy the acquisition of something for nothing and seem to find it almost customary.

[He is, but he hates sweet things. However, if it's blue, he can forgive it. He munches quietly, looking mollified by the color.]

[Nepeta takes advantage of the lull in people to swarm up his back as he eats, purring happily to herself as her arms wrap around his neck.]

The adorable little purrbeast makes herself comfortable on the magnificent hoofbeast's back!

[He chuckled at that, his lips quivering at the edge of a smile that dwindled into his usual persistent glower to the world.]

The hoofbeast maintains its eternal vigil to ensure that the purrbeast's mounting is without incident.

The purrbeast feels safe knowing that the hoofbeast is making sure she's okay! She's so high up she can see efurywhere when she's up on his back! It's one of the best places ever to be.

[She lets our a purr at that, rubbing her face against his hair. Lets hope she has no icing left on her mouth from the cupcakes she'd been snacking on.]

The noble hoofbeast is always willing to serve as a high rise for her searching. After all, the purrbeast has the better eyes of the two of them and can scout out trouble for him to deal with.

[Here was hoping, though he expected to be a bit green from this.]

Oh no! The purrbeast spies another purrbeast who's come to steal their lunch!

[Sorry, Pounce, you've been drafted into the roleplay.]

[He got up and growled, bracing himself between her lunch and Pounce, who ... was probably looking like she was about to play, which would mean that he was about to end up on his ass.]

The hoofbeast interposes himself between the purrbeast and the prize.

[That is exactly how Pounce is looking, wriggling her butt back and forth as she aims herself at Equius, both mouths split in what are probably smiles - or would be, if not for the teeth they expose.]

Oh no! The purrbeast is purrpared to fight to the death to claim the lunch for herself!

The hoofbeast suggests that its mounted compatriot get to the ground so that they can flank the larger creature.

[And so she wasn't getting double tackled in the process of Pounce's Pounce.]

[Nepeta scrambles off of Equius' shoulders, sneaking around to Pounce's side.]

The tiny cute purrbeast flanks the bigger one!

[Of course, this now made him a perfect target for the obvious. Pounce was on top of him and he was growling up, trying to bat at it playfully and sighing. It was a bit hard to declare what he was doing with the lusus on top of him.]

[Unfortunately, it's not entirely unexpected what Nepeta decides to do next. She sees two of her favourite people in the world apparently forming a pile of themselves just for her.

How can she not accept the challenge?]

Wheeee!

[Arthour, to his credit, just makes sure that everything is out of the way as Equius lets out an indignant squawk, being covered in two kitties.]

This is incredibly undignified!

[There's no response but happy giggles and purring as the two kitties burrow on top of him, Pounce licking one of his cheeks and Nepeta the other. The kitties love him, okay?]

[A few more indignant squawks and he sighs, resigned to the fact that he's going to end up in a pile for a little while. Hopefully he'll just be lucky and nobody will happen on the three of them like this.

But he knows luck is rarely with him.]

[Of course it's no longer as fun once he stops grumbling about it, and so with a huff and a final lick Pounce rolls off of him, Nepeta scooting out of the way just in time. And flopping right back onto Equius afterwards.]

The purrbeast and her fine stead emerge triumphant!

[He chuckled and gave her a look that said he knew she liked to see him squawk a little and settled into a seated position.]

Indeed, and the food is saved for the time being. Until the next trial comes along.

Heehee, yes!

[She makes herself comfortable in his lap, all smiles, ecstatic that Equius had taken the time to play with her.

And then her tummy lets out a rumble.]

...I think the next trial just showed up.

[He let out a low snort and started to rise with a bit of difficulty.]

Arthour, would you be good enough to see to it that Nepeta's meal is ready?

Oh, no, no, that's okay! I can get it fur myself!

[She kind of feels bad having Aurthour wait on her all the time, especially after all his help with the cupcakes.]

If that's your wish. I thnk the materials are right over there. I'll set up for our next customers in that case.

Thanks, Equius! I'll purrpare some lunch for you too, then!

That sounds excellent. [He nodded at her.] Let me know when it is ready and I will hand out the cake cups.
