Three Spoons {Audio} {Day 398}

[When the audio turns on, it catches the tail-end of a yawn, and a muttered, "Oh, goodness!"

Then there's a pause, as if the speaker is sluggishly trying to determine if they should even bother saying anything...but tenacity wins out in the end.]

So I know it's awfully late, and I should be asleep. I would like to be asleep, honestly! But I've been busy all day, and wouldn't you know it, my brain decided to think every thought it could the moment my head touched the pillow! Hoo hoo, there clearly aren't enough hours in the day, are there? But I'm getting a little sidetracked. I wanted to ask something.

Back where I'm from, and not too long ago really, I was very stubborn about believing only what I could see and investigate for myself. I still am, actually, but a bit more willing to give some leeway, and it's something I've been trying to work on while I'm here. But it got me thinking tonight - what sorts of things exist in other places might I find hard to believe? Not just home or Asgard, but in all the everywhere elses'! Or the ones represented here at least.

I guess I'm putting forth a challenge, then? I'd like as many of you as possible to tell me something about your homes that others may think strange! And maybe, if you feel up to it, you can try convincing me in its realness?

[John doesn't really have much to offer on this table. Since he and Jane come from the same place, but if he were to take a shot in the dark he is going to say that she's never seen a flying battleship.

The only thing I could really think of back from where both of us come from is the fact that Jade and I were on a flying battleship for awhile. Let me tell you, travelling with Jade is an unbelievable experience in itself.

Other than that I probably really don't have much to surprise you with, you know the mechanics of the game. [Hi Jane, he's also bored and probably shouldn't be awake.]

Now that I didn't know. And that might not be too hard to believe. I'm pretty certain I saw something that might be like a flying battleship once before, but I couldn't exactly stick around to find out who might be on it. [You know, what with being sucked into the Medium and all.]

You know what? I bet there are still lots and lots of things none of us know about that dumb game! So maybe there are surprises in store for us yet.

I can't really shock you if we come from relatively the same place, Jane! With everything going on I don't think I blame you for not stopping by. Jade and I were pretty bored though. [He mentions Jade, and immediately looks kind of sad. Huh.] We spent a lot of time together on that thing, and I guess that never really changed here.

[He nods.] I think the game probably has so much left to offer. We're going to find out one way or another!

[She could likely horrify Jane, but to Kirigiri that would be a fruitless endeavor. So instead she will get right on to questioning exactly what made Jane's world so different.]

Implying that things from where you come from are drastically different than that of worlds outside of yours?

Well it could be. It depends - a lot of places seem like they could be similar, but they turn out to have outlying features that set them apart. Like, perhaps there are two worlds that have the same sort of history, but one had an event that changed how people conduct themselves in certain countries. Or, well, take mine for example! There aren't a lot of places that boast Sburb, though that's probably for the best.

[The game's really boring Kirigiri, you totally don't want to hear about it.]

A lot of places will be similar. The basic makeup of the earth will probably never change, however, if we're from different parts of that world things are bound to be different or turn out different. I also believe that point in time have something to do with it. [She pauses, knowing what question was going to inevitably be next:] Sburb? What is Sburb? Why do you think it would be best it not be boasted?

Hrmmm... how weird you want me to get? I could tell you all about the different sorts of demons that fill hell, after all, or I could tell you about the people I was working with right up until I ended up here.

[Said in the tone of someone who's looking for an excuse to screw with Jane a little already because it's fun.]

One of the single weirdest moments in my life was breaking out of a super secret research lab run by a toy company that made genetically engineered animals as pets for little kids. They also made genetic abominations on the sly as arms merchants. I had to stand in disguise an elevator once, listening to "It's a Small World" playing in the background as two dumb as dirt Llama-human hybrids were standing behind me in corporate armor with uzis, humming along while I and a something between a fox, a moth and a person in a japanese schoolgirl's outfit that I'd mind controlled to help get me out of there were just trying not to laugh our asses off.

It was, seriously, just about the dumbest moment in my life after that conversation with the gigantic space toad that turned into a hulking beast sometimes.

I believe my version of Earth is the same as most. Continents, such as Antartica, Europe, America, Asia, Africa and Australia. overall, the places are the same but the way the world exists and proceeds is quite different from yours, I'm certain.

Well, when it comes to your assertion of strange and dubious sciences and their genetic ramifications...
Oh, heck with it. The process itself is the only thing I have question with.
I'll buy the relations bit, but with a lot of trepidation.

Honestly, I think the weirdest thing is the fact that people still live in New York when it's getting attacked or invaded like two or three times a year. [ Says the girl who was born and raised in Manhattan. ]

So would it be this exact Asgard, or some other kind? I have heard there's apparently more than one.
