He is a brat, bully of a King. Manipulated by his mother, indulged and allowed to do whatever he wants...he is a horrible creature. He shamed and beat a girl for her father's crimes. He also had her father killed, after apparently saying he wouldn't do such a thing.

[Loras sighs.]

He also sliced open kittens that his younger brother owned.

My King, the one I truly believe who should have been King, was Renly. She married him first. After he...after he was murdered, she married Joffrey. I served in his Kingsguard, but it was to protect Margaery more than anything. When he died, and she married his brother, Tommen, I served under him. Kingsguard serve whoever is king.
