Video - Day 386
[Stiles' face shows up on the screen and he's looking maybe just a little worse for wear. There's lines around his eyes and he looks like he hasn't been sleeping well.]
So, the timing on this could be better. I'll be jumping on the wagon to Alfheim tomorrow morning and, um, I need a favor.
[He really should have locked this from his dad, but he hadn't really been on his game when he'd decided to make this.]
Could someone come in and check up on Scott while I'm gone? He went all grey and we can't find his bracelet. I've got him sort of... tied up to his bed, but I need someone to come by and make sure he eats and uh, you know, bathroom stuff.
[Anyone who knew him could see this wasn't an easy thing to ask. Someone was feeling especially guilty at the moment.]
I can't leave him like that, so if no one can do it, I'll just have to, ah, let him go. But with all this going on right now...
I'd just really appreciate a little help. I'll owe someone. Hugely.
[There's a pause, then Stiles looks directly into the screen instead of letting his eyes jump all around it.]
Please.

[Was it? God, please don't let him have like, some random weird graybee in his house.]
Hale recognized his scent, so, they must still smell the same, right?

no subject
[Kids, man.]
Everyone has their own scent, Rue. That's how dogs and stuff hunt and track.
no subject
But the big, grumpy one isn't a dog. [At least, he doesn't look like one 8| ]
no subject
Oh! Haha, no, no. Not Derek Hale. Hale, my dragon.
[Guess who came over and perched on Stiles' shoulder at the mention of his name? You guessed it.]
no subject
no subject
[That's the first he'd heard of that. If Rachel was doodling more dragons for people... Rude.]
no subject
There used to be another girl, but I don't see her around anymore.
no subject
Not sure about the other ones, though.
[And his dragon was better. =|]
no subject
It's okay. Your dragon is a different color than theirs.
no subject
[He could wish that for her.]
My dragon's also totally cooler than theirs.
[Was that bias? Totally bias.]
no subject
Are you taking your dragon with you?
no subject
Hale? God, no. He's just a baby. I'm not taking a baby dragon into a battlefield. I'm going to leave him here to help keep watch over Scott. That way they're both safe. So, you know, if you come over... you could keep him company too.
no subject
I can look after both of them?
[Lumping Scott in with a baby dragon is totally okay.]
no subject
Sure. Just, ah, don't feed him onions.
And watch your socks around him. Hale, that is. Not Scott. Though you probably shouldn't feed Scott onions either.
no subject
Okay, I can do it! Um...I don't know where the house is.
no subject
[Oh god. His dad with a kid. He had a feeling he'd actually like the change in pace, since Rue was nothing like Stiles had been when he was younger.]
video --> action
[No sooner than she says it, she's shutting off the bracelet and scampering across the city toward Sigyn district.
There's a knock at the door some ten minutes later.]
no subject
Before he could answer that, she was gone and he was staring at a blank screen.
And then there was knocking. Hale flapped down to the door, squawking and making noises like 'hey, hey, dad, hey dad, dad, hey, there's someone here'.]
Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm coming.
SQUAWK.
I SAID I'M COMING!
[He opened the door, Hale deciding to climb up his leg (oh my god, prickly claws) to his hip to get a better look.]
Hey. You wanna come in?
no subject
Oh, he's so small!
[She reaches toward him, one hand hovering over a wing.]
no subject
God, yes you can play with her. You don't need to ask.
[Truthfully, Hale hasn't met anyone that's not Stiles/Rachel size or bigger. So this tiny person was interesting. He pushed off from Stiles' hip, wings spread as he vaulted to land on her outstretched arm, giving a small chirp.]
no subject
What do you feed him? [She adds on dutifully, ] No onions for Scott or Hale.
[She stops short, frowning.] What do gray people eat?
no subject
Um, Scott? I've just been giving him regular food, though nothing that needs too much chewing. Oatmeal. Mashed potatoes. Soup.
no subject
That doesn't sound too bad. [All of those are easy to make.]
I can bring some food from the Safehouse if gray Scott gets bored of the potatoes and soup.
no subject
Nah, they're not that complicated to keep track of. I just won't be here and want to make sure they're not lonely and, you know... cared for.
[Leaving both of them sort of hurt, but he couldn't take Hale with him to a fight and Scott... well, if he got hurt out there, Isaac and Allison wouldn't have to kill Stiles for it.]
That'd be nice. I bet they'd like that. And you can, you know, hang around for a bit if you want. Some others might come to check on them and my dad will be here at nights if you want to maybe stay and have dinner while I'm gone.
[Because yes, he was looking out for his dad, too.]
