[Stiles' face shows up on the screen and he's looking maybe just a little worse for wear. There's lines around his eyes and he looks like he hasn't been sleeping well.]

So, the timing on this could be better. I'll be jumping on the wagon to Alfheim tomorrow morning and, um, I need a favor.

[He really should have locked this from his dad, but he hadn't really been on his game when he'd decided to make this.]

Could someone come in and check up on Scott while I'm gone? He went all grey and we can't find his bracelet. I've got him sort of... tied up to his bed, but I need someone to come by and make sure he eats and uh, you know, bathroom stuff.

[Anyone who knew him could see this wasn't an easy thing to ask. Someone was feeling especially guilty at the moment.]

I can't leave him like that, so if no one can do it, I'll just have to, ah, let him go. But with all this going on right now...

I'd just really appreciate a little help. I'll owe someone. Hugely.

[There's a pause, then Stiles looks directly into the screen instead of letting his eyes jump all around it.]

Yeah, after their almost-fight about Stiles going with her to get healed, she didn't want to push it.]

Hey, whether you guys remember it or not, he's kind of part of my friend circle. Albeit an annoying one, but...

[He wasn't going to bring up that he'd be doing it more for Scott than anything...]

Okay, maybe forgotten's the wrong word. Just... not having gotten there in the timeline yet? You know how annoying it is to be friends with someone that still thinks you guys hate each other?

[He's looking at both of you, Isaac and Derek.]

[Except he's talking to Erica and he used the phrase 'you guys' so she's just a bit concerned.]

Yeah. I thought we were cool, though.

Sorry, bad phrasing. I guess I just... I don't know. It feels like there's 'you guys' and 'us guys' again. Look, I'm just tired, okay.

[And maybe a little freaked out about heading off to another war.]

We're cool. We're icy cool.

No, I get that. [She frowns at him being tired.]

Are you alright?

What? Oh, yeah. I'm just.. you know. Bad dreams. Scott. Impending doom. Sort of all building up lately. I'm fine.

[better]

Those things aren't what you put under the 'fine' column, you know.

[She frowns, again.]

I said you could talk to me. I did mean it.

[teenyoda]

They don't put me in the not fine column.

[Yes they did. Shut up, Stiles.]

I know. I just haven't had anything to talk about.

[You know, that wasn't all about Rachel and sexual frustration and his best friend suddenly being a zombie and the tension that he could feel between Scott and Isaac and Allison and how Derek had felt like a non-entity lately. Just the usual. No biggie.]

Right. Nothing at all.

[Erica takes a beat, but then she continues.] You know, I used to not talk to anyone. Well, no one really wanted to talk to me. I just kept it all inside, because - hey, why make other people worry about it, right?

It's just... you're not alone.

[She's quiet for a moment.]

I was... but you aren't.

I know.

[He did, really. But with everything that was happening lately, he didn't want to add to the crapfest with just pointless bitching. Besides, he talked to Hale.

That totally counted, right?]

Look, I'll be fine. I'll go do this elf thing and then come back and Scott will be better and everything will just... it'll be easier.

[He was soooooo deluded.]

[That doesn't count at all.]

Right. Because, going off and dealing with someone else's issues is easier than just trying to figure out how to make things better.

You just expect it to happen, because that's how it's works with our group. [She's sarcastic.]

[Rude, Erica. Hale would be so offended.]

Exactly. I'm glad you see it my way.

[See that? That's a bright and cheery smile, Erica. BRIGHT and CHEERY.]

[Erica doesn't buy it and really, if she didn't know that any of her questions would just be met with denial she'd keep asking, but she's tired of him relaying the same responses each time. She can't force anyone to talk to her, which is why it's so funny that everyone just expects her to go along with everything when no one seems to trust her.]

Yep. Look, I'll check in on Scott. Should I ... see if there's a schedule or something? Let your dad know when I can stop by?

[teenyoda]

Actually, yeah, if you guys could figure out who does what when, that'd be great. I'm sure dad can do the late night stuff and tuck him in and all that, but just making sure he gets fed and maybe goes to the bathroom?

Hale will be here, just in case.

[She doesn't want to know why he named his dragon after Derek or Derek's family...]

And how is the dragon going to help?

He'll be Scott's guard-dog-dragon for while I'm gone. In case anyone tries anything fishy.

[... She doesn't want to know what sort of fishy things Stiles thinks people are going to do to Scott.]

He'll be okay, Stiles. Your dad will check in on him, I'll check in on him... it'll be fine.

And an actual fine, not the 'fine' that you use all the time.

No. Please... I don't need any decapitated anythings. [She already has had enough trauma in her life both here and home. Don't bring her severed limbs.]
