[It's prudent to use voice and not video when you're not 100% on what you're dealing with. The War Doctor has found his way to the Heimdall lodgings, now it's time to play with the device.]

I suppose this is the point where I'm meant to ask where I am. And I doubt it's the first time you've heard that one. So good time of day to you Asguardians. By this point you probably have some welcome parties set up, so feel free to let them send their information to me on these devices. It would be prudent and helpful of course. I already know where I am, but it never hurts to hear a different point of view on it.

That or you could leave me to just wander around. Wouldn't be the first time. Or the last.

I guess it's obligatory to ask where the exit is? It's not stated on the map I was given. I don't really have time to be doing this in a place I'm not needed in.

We're not Asguardians, by the way. At least, I'm not-and I don't think any natives have access to these bracelets.

[You can't see it but the War Doctor is staring. Staring forever, tea cup paused halfway to his mouth.]

And I should have guessed really. Is the fighting constant here?

It depends. I've heard that there was fighting last month, but I was essentially out of town then. Though the past week or so has been seemingly nonstop combat.

Wandering the city would usually be my advice, actually, as it's the easiest way to learn your way around if you keep the map open on your bracelet. But the city's in a bit of a state, so I'm not sure if it's a safe suggestion just yet.

[ said the woman who just woke up from dying in the mirror world, woops ]

Anything you deem useful. Different people find different things useful, so what you feel I should know.

Hm. Well. [ a few things come to mind, but she decides to go with ] Time is a bit odd here, just in that when it taps into each of our worlds and pulls us out from it, it's not always from the same point. For example, I met my future son here, who won't be born for another year or so when I'm from, but he's the same age as me here. It's not always that way - my husband and I were both taken from the same point in time - but it's possible someone you know from home might be here as well, only older or younger.

[Here's something new: a tiny golden man with odd sun patterns on his irises and a wicked scar raked across the side of his head leaning forward, looking at the camera curiously before giving a smile and leaning off-camera for a moment before sitting upright again with a sketchpad in his lap.

He flips to a clean page and takes out a pencil before carefully drawing. There are the usual guides on the bracelet, but he finds them a little outdated, so he's going to give this man something more detailed.

Then the little gold man holds up the sketchpad to the camera. It's a detailed map of the city, but it's marked with the areas that have recently been overrun by unfamiliar things or unpleasant stuff, like the piece of Grefion Park that remains of Thiazi's spell is marked with an unhappy face, and he's drawn a toad by the lake with asterisks above it. He's also marked off areas that have been damaged by the Giant attack, so be careful of those areas, as debris or poor structural integrity could hurt someone.]

[Actually switches to video for this one, peering with some interest at the creature before realizing he's drawing a little map. Well, okay then. The War Doctor rests the side of his face on one hand, somewhat amused by the whole thing.

He has no doubt that what shows up will be useful, and in that aspect he's not disappointed.]

I believe everyone should be given a map as detailed as yours, little one. If you don't do that for a living, then your talent is wasted. Thank you for the information.

[For a living? Making things? The gold man gives a small, silent giggle, the only signs of his laughter being his eyes and the light shake of his shoulders. If only you knew.

But that poses an interesting point. Everyone should have a more detailed map. Maybe he should ask one of the gods about that...

I'm afraid there is no exit, but if it's any consolation, when you return home, you're returned to the exact point in your time stream that you were taken. It's the only reason why I'm not trying to tear this place apart to find a way to get out.

An exit would be a courtesy, would it not? Oh, our gods aren't all that bad, mind, but a courteous exit ventures past their means. Never can blame someone for asking, though.

It'd be decent of them, but it seems it's asking too much. Why they don't just pick ones who are made for war I will never know.

The exit is away from the city. It's got giant big flashing lights and a neon sign that says 'now leaving Asgard'. You can't miss it! I would of left by now but, much like most the hapless captives here, I have a crippling phobia of neon signs.
