[the video starts up to show a short-haired girl, looking curiously right at the viewer—from her perspective, she's just checking out and poking at her bracelet. after bringing her arm up and down to inspect it from different angles, she finally settles on a comfortable and more natural position.]

So, uh... I guess this thing is on now? People can see this, right?

[she waves her hand at the screen and gives a smile... before realizing that, right, she's not exactly broadcasting live. with a small chuckle, she scratches the back of her neck, then continues.]

...Right, you guys can't respond until I finish this. Whoops! Anyway, uh, the name's Chie—Chie Satonaka! If it wasn't obvious, I pretty much just got here, and I'm still kinda confused about... well, everything. The girl that brought me here didn't exactly explain much, and I kinda figured that asking other people that were brought here would be a lot more helpful in the long run. So, yeah! I'm not really picky; any tips for a newcomer like me would be awesome. Buuut I guess if I had to be specific... is there any place to get some cheap, decent food around here? I'm starving, and I could seriously go for some steak right now.

[she laughs again as she's about to go, but right before she goes to end the feed, she remembers one more thing.]

Oh, and if you've ever met or run into anybody from a place in Japan called Inaba, would you mind telling them that I'm looking for them? Thanks a bunch!

[as she leans down to inspect the dishes, she seems to approve! but when she notices the placement, she turns toward him with curiosity.]

You sure this one's for me?

[Rion responds with a politely confused look - why wouldn't it be?]

It's kinda bigger than the other one... don't you need it more?

—N-not that I'm saying anything bad about you, because I definitely wouldn't, but, uh, well... don't boys eat more than girls?

[Rion is generally a lot more expressive than other people. He just looks at Chie, then gestures at himself, then at her again, like 'seriously? Look at me'.

She's got a few inches on him and is generally way more... in shape.]

[she gets that she is probably fighting a losing battle here... and while she would usually be stubborn about it, she just feels like she can't do that with Rion. alas.]

Well... a-all right, then. But I'll eat slow just in case you change your mind!

[...confusion. Why would he change his mind? He doesn't understand, Chie. He is tiny and he is aware of it and he does not need as much food as awesome kung fu big sis.]

Hey, I said "just in case" for a reason.

[she just waves it off and finally takes a bite of the omelette... and gives him a smile!]

Whoa—hey, this is pretty good! I didn't doubt you, of course, but still!

I learned how to cook a lot at home. :)

[Said - or typed, rather - in between bites. He's not going to eat yo food though Chie, you need that!]

Really? Huh... maybe you could teach me sometime!

[she says that jokingly BUT IF HE'S WILLING TO WORK WITH HER...]

Sure!

[He is going to take this as a compliment and flush accordingly, since that's... what he does with compliments. He's not good at handling them.]

[Rion stares at her.

He doesn't even seem to understand the question. Judge her? Why?]

I'm... kind of hilariously bad at cooking. Like... really bad.

[He doesn't really like to type while aeting but he will do it just this once, because his response is easy enough.]

[Souji and Yosuke aren't really the best people to ask for opinions, though.]

[As if this is the most obvious thing in the world.]

[she pauses for a bit as she reads his message... and then she grins.]

You know what? We'll do exactly that!

[YES! Insert fistpump here, because that seems like the kind of thing Chie would totally agree with.

He is even grinning just a bit - he's much more at ease than he was before.]

[and to reward that, Chie gives him a pat on the back.]
