Well, it seems I've missed a few things! [ Charley is in her room in Hel's welcome hall, brushing her hair back and out of her face, smiling dryly at the camera. ] I hope nothing too horrid has happened to any of you while I've been gone.
If the Doctor - all of you, please - could get in touch with me, I would be most appreciative. [ She reaches up, like she's going to fiddle with a pendant that she's not actually wearing, then drops her hand to her lap. ] Please.

[Action]
And Clementine, how on earth did you end up with a little girl in your care?
[Action]
He splutters and makes a face at her.]
I'll have you know I'm very good with children. It's...been a while since I raised a child, I admit, but I assure you I can take care of one perfectly well, thank you very much.
Besides, she looked like she could use a family. It has to be hard, being so young and all alone.
[Action]
[ She rolls her eyes a little, but is maybe a little red. That's the first time she's ever really called him anything but "Doctor", and she's trying to pretend like it was totally casual.
It was not. ]
That's very sweet of you, though. I can't wait to meet her.
[Action]
When they pass by the kitchen, he glances at the chaos that are the shopping bags all over the counter. Woops.]
Care for a cuppa? As strange as it is being trapped in this world, at least they have decent tea.
[Action]
Why don't I make us a cuppa and you can put your groceries away, since I don't know where you'd like everything to go?
[Action]
Well, alright.
[He digs through one of the bags and hands her a tin of tea, managing to sneak in another little kiss.]
[Action]
[ Charley smiles into that snuck kiss, letting her fingertips brush the back of the Doctor's neck as she pulls back and moves to the stove to put the kettle on.
They're being downright domestic and it's both deeply strange and lovely. ]
I assume you'll want me to move in here where you can keep an eye on me. [ She is totally innocent with this question, honest. ] Will there be enough bedrooms for me to squeeze in?
[Action]
Really? You assume so, do you?
[Of course he does, but he can't resist teasing.]
[Action]
Well, I suppose if you don't want me to, I could always go back to the welcome hall. Alone. Where anything could happen.
[ I swear officer, it wasn't meant to sound sexual, she's just teasing him for his overprotective streak! ]
[Action]
Choking down a little wave of awkwardness, he regains the teasing mood and turns to grin at her.]
Oh, well, I suppose we couldn't have that.
[Action]
Glad we agree. Though you still didn't answer my question. I don't want to inconvenience anyone.
[Action]
He finally turns to her, but his gaze is shyly glued to the cups in his hands.]
There's room, though...I- I mean, if you'd like...
[Spit it out, man!]
[Action]
If I'd like... what?
[Action]
To share with me, perhaps?
Only if you want to, of course. I wouldn't like to presume...
[Action]
Well, I-- [ and then she jumps when the kettle starts whistling shrilly behind her, followed by a laugh as she presses a hand over her heart ] Goodness, that startled me!
[ She leaves him hanging horribly because the kettle is noisy and irritating, and gets everything steeping before turning back to him with a shy smile. ]
Yes, Doctor, I think I would be amenable to that.
[Action]
Finally she turns and gives his answer, and a giddy laugh bursts from him.]
You would? That's...that's wonderful!
[Action]
[Action]
[He still looks a tad starry-eyed as he digs around for the package of biscuits and hauls them out, giving them a little wave to show he's found them.]
There are three Doctors in this house. If we have nothing else, we'll have tea and biscuits.
[Action]
[Action]
Milk, two sugars, please?
[Action]
Here you are, then! Milk, two sugars, and a plate of biscuits.
[ She sits next to him with her own tea (milk and honey) and nibbles on a biscuit ] The Welcome Hall is nice enough, but this is much homier.
[Action]
Yes, it is.
[He sips at the tea and shrugs.]
It's strange, but I kind of like it. I mean, if I can't fly away, might as well make the best home I can.
