[She's only been here for a few days, quietly observing the network and the city. Mitsuru hasn't gone out to very many of the festivities, and any times she's gone out have been for exploring the city.  She really isn't all that interested in dressing up in foreign clothes just for fun. Not her style.

Getting information though, that's more Mitsuru's thing. So this morning she is down in the lobby in Odin's house, sitting very neatly and properly in one of the lounge chairs, not wanting to disturb her new roommate by making this post.]

Good morning. My name is Mitsuru Kirijo, a recent arrival to this city. I've been informed recently of the hard times this city has had with regards to the war, and as such, I do hope that everyone has been enjoying the festival and gets the opportunity to relax.

First off, I'd like to ask for some opinions. I want to arm myself in the event that any sort of attack takes place, and while I've noticed a few blacksmiths and armories around the different districts, I would like advice on which one provides the best quality items. Affordability is not an issue, and I am looking specifically for an establishment that focuses more on rapiers.

Next, I'd like to get more involved in efforts related to this war or any organizations that have communications with the gods. I have not had experience in fighting in a war before, but I believe I may be able to provide some assistance in situations if the need arises.

Finally, I... [She falters for a moment. Her expression still remains fairly professional, but it's clear that this is something that she feels awkward in doing. Which would be correct since she's never actually had to do this before. What a rich kid.] ...I'll be looking for employment during my stay here. If anyone has any knowledge of recent openings or opportunities... or even advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Not at all. I just simply mean that I'm willing to pay whatever the cost, even if that means compromising on a payment plan.

The trouble with a payment plan, unfortunately, is that people disappear as well as appear. It would hardly be fair to the business to expect them to help you on credit.

As I am new to the city as well, my knowledge may be lacking in some regards. As far as I'm aware, there is no traveler organization that is in communication with the gods any more so than the rest of us. Ask for them, and they may answer. They may not. I've heard it depends on the questions and of course, the god that answers may not be the one you might want to speak with.

I bid you good luck in your search for weaponry, and would appreciate it if you passed along the information once it's received.

So they are rather elusive then. I suppose that would be fitting for gods, in that they don't mingle with mere mortals all the time. That's rather disconcerting. [Lame is more like it. She wasn't hoping to talk their ears off, but just have the option to discuss things openly.] I don't suppose you've heard of any stories or recollections of conversations with them?

I've been able to speak with a number of them. Each of the gods should be available to find throughout the festival today, as they are playing a game with us travelers regarding riddles. If you would like, I could lead you to them.

Screw the payment plans. There's a shorter way to get a decent weapon to start. If you're new, until you've advanced in power stop by your god's shrine and ask. Outside of going for something advanced, you should be able to get a decent rapier.

You can ask for something like that once a month.

There's a plaque at the shrine outside your house. It will explain how this works. I think, to them, it's seen as arming the troops or repaying the favor of us being here a little.

As for your power, it grows over time. We're not sure about the exact how, though it takes about a month, and training never seems to hurt.

You're better off saving your money for living expenses, Mitsuru. Till you get a job, anyway. You only get so much to start with.

[Goddamnit, have the tables really turned now? At his grin, she almost visibly shrinks a little and turns slightly pink, sheepish.] I understand that. I need to put some aside, but I also need to prepare myself if anything happens. I don't quite want to rely on a power I haven't yet tried.

But, ah... [Now is the time when she turns pink in her face. Maybe he already knows or had an inkling, but it doesn't help her from feeling rather embarrassed. ...I'm not entirely sure.

Not all battles are fought in war-like conditions. I've lead small groups into battles before and have provided intell and support when necessary.

[She really doesn't want to get into too much detail about the fighting in Tartarus. So this will have to do.]

Talk to Arthur Pendragon, he's got a guard. Merlin runs the Teacher's Council to help people learn to use their powers. As for communication with the gods, it's not really something we do a lot. Most people don't like them. But they're available. Occasionally. When they feel like it.
