If you look hard enough, you might be able to see it doesn't quite reach his eyes. But he also is really in a better mood, because Clara's here, and that makes everything better. ]

So. That thing about dressing up in costumes.

Let's hold a competition! By which I mean, I'll hold a competition, so keep an eye out and sign up if you're going to dress up. That's an order. I'll even hand out prizes!

[ Then, as if something only just hit him, he lowers his voice to mumble. ]

Uhm. Those of you who know Oswin... They're not the same. Don't ask me how it works, I don't know myself yet, so--

It was good that so many the Doctor cared for were here... but Alice... she pushed those sort of thoughts aside. The Tardis had said it was alright to be selfish, but the Doctor wasn't hers to begin with. Or at least she tried to push them aside.]

Oh ah... nice to meet you, Miss Clara. [Alice offered a curtsy although her thoughts were elsewhere. She really had no reason not to like this Miss Clara, whoever she may be. But Alice couldn't help but wonder if more and more companions came, if she would eventually have to leave the house. Wouldn't the Doctor want the people he knew longest with him? She wasn't sure. She hoped not but that seemed like a very selfish hope.]

There are different ways to do it. In smaller parties everyone is automatically included, but you'll have to sign up for this one. And instead of a group of people judging or something like that, people will get to vote for their favourites. And then we'll see.
