wasthemaster: (I'm telling you it's this big)

[The feed will click on, but it's mostly showing a brick wall of an alleyway at the moment. It's moving pretty erratically like Draco's trying to fix something and he's working with his hands. Granted, it's not like he actually knows how to make things work and he has no idea how to use muggle tools, so it's mostly just a lot of banging around until he finally caves to address the city at large.]

Now that that's over...[That is to say, if you want to talk to him about what happened with Thiazi and the corrupted, don't. He's not up for it at the moment save for a few close people.] I might actually need help with something. Only if you understand methods of mechanics.

[Give him a moment to flip the camera to reveal a motorcycle that a friend left to him. Said-motorcycle looks as though someone took a baseball bat to it. It's dented, one of the mirrors is missing and the front wheel is removed from the bike all together, propped up to the side somewhere.] How the hell do I put this back together?

Additionally...[And then he stops. Nah, he's not going to bother mentioning anything about the shop, or about people from home, or anything that's happened in the last few weeks. He's going to stay off of the radar as much as possible in terms of those topics.] Well, never mind. That's it. [And with another bang as he fruitlessly tries to hammer out the dents, the bracelet clicks off. Draco seems to have a talent for ignoring anything he wants to.]

Sturdy and useable. [He nods and cracks his knuckles. Leo is already thinking how to repair the bike.]

Got it.

I'd say I can do that and won't take too long. I'm up to level two in my power now. What I need to fix it I can just sketch.

Alright! That's cool too. Gives me time to look up a few more things. In fact, you've been here a while. Any idea how magic and technology mix here? I sorta have a friend I want to repair that needs both.

That's right. Want to see him? ...what's left of him. He's just a head but, with this power might be able to rebuild his body like I couldn't before.

I got it from the apples. Chill, it's not a person's head. [He pans the view to the far side of the room. Nestled in soft fabric is a mechanical dragon's head. The teeth are made of drill bits and the bronze gleams in the half light.]

See?

He had an accident.

Yeah, Festus the dragon. [He pats Happy the dragons's head, and holds both his hands up.] Dragon fall down.

[He tips his hands down making a spiral pattern with one finger and cue mouth made explosion sound.] Go boom.

I attached him to something else back home. Guess the gods thought I could use having him around again.

Hey, if anyone can do it. I can. If, I can't, I'll find some other way to power him so he can see again.

[He built the Argo 2 in a year, as much as he doesn't understand a lot of Festus's hardware, he should be able to reproduce what he saw and experienced while fixing him.]

I'll never know until I try.

What isn't special about a mechanical dragon?
unbrokenwheel: (Urrgh.)

Whoa. No. Festus is more than just a machine, like anything built by the kids of my dad. They're alive, sorta.

He has a brain all his own. It just switches on and off, instead of being on all the time. Comprende?
unbrokenwheel: (You're the only one that sort of knows.)

Man, you're not getting it. Okay so, you know how golems work right? A magical construct that thinks and moves on its own?

I didn't build him. Someone else did, eons ago. I just gave him a repair job. But yeah, he's pretty special like that.

Sure, I'll give you a bracelet ping. Anyway, once you got the bike up and running, let me know!
