[ The video feed starts up, and right off, it's pretty easy to tell that Blaine is worried, and most definitely confused. ]

Hey, guys. So I know it's going to sound stupid, but what happened?

[ The backdrop behind him is more or less a scene of carnage, and it's not at all what he was expecting to see upon his return from Vanaheim. ]

I was gone from the city, so I obviously missed a lot. [ And he's going to feel bad for missing whatever it was that went down. It doesn't feel right that so many of them were having a good time in Vanaheim, while bad things were happening here. ]

If anyone needs a hand with anything at all, let me know. I want to help you guys out, if I can.

[ It feels like the least he can do, after skipping town, so to speak. ]

There was MUCH tension caused by Thiazi. Those in the city and not off at Vanaheim suffered from exhaustion and anxiety and some few were hurting others in the midst of the hold that the queen had over them. Many were lost...

[It's a wonder she can say this all over the feed without a lot of emotion on her face. She contributes it to how tired she is and how much of the clarity fruit she had eaten just to make sure she wouldn't wind up like one of the corrupted.]

I wish I wasn't elsewhere. I have friends here, and I wasn't around to do anything.

[ Not that he could have done anything, but he's still annoyed with himself. ]

Yes. Many. Others were being attacked. Wounded. Killed.

[She has some sympathy for him. He has a noble heart to want to be here so he can help those that he cares for.]

So that's it? They're just gone?

[ And now he's really starting to panic. He hasn't contacted Sam yet, or even found him, and Leeloo's explanations aren't helping allay his fears. ]

No, I haven't. I'm trying to find them, though. You haven't seen or heard from someone named Sam Evans, have you?

[ In hindsight, leaving Freyr probably was a bad idea, but he'll head back there as soon as he can. ]

No... I have never met any Sam Evans.

[She mulls it over in her head. Trying to decide what's right, sheltering the truth for him or being open and honest. In the end she decides it might be best to show him respect as another traveller.]

Those that were infected by Thiazi. They turned themselves in the deities here. They took care of them, and of the illness.

Miss Leeloo has filled you in on how they were caused. As for what you can do to help, there are plenty of places all around the city that could use any type of help, from sweeping up debris to washing off graffiti.

[Owen looks calm, but at the same time you can definitely tell he's a bit exhausted.]

Great, thanks for the tip. I'll keep an eye out for anywhere that looks like it needs cleaning up.

[And maybe once he locates Sam, he'll enlist his help, if he's up for it. If not, Blaine feels like he owes the city something.]

You'll find that almost everywhere looks like it needs cleaning up.

Well, then maybe I'll just start with a spot in Freyr and work from there.

To be honest, I spoke with someone, and I think that we were worried that it was worse there.

I'm more glad that it wasn't.

Yeah, it was great, but it feels wrong that we were over there having a good time while all those bad things were going on here.

Dude, you're back! You missed a lot. I'm not even sure I understand what happened... It was like one of those serial killer shows but with more than one killer and nobody knew who to trust and I think somebody ate some puppies but it's all over now. [ Sam finally breathes after speaking without any pauses. ]

[ The feeling is so mutual, Sam. ]

Sam, are you okay? I mean, whatever happened, it sounds like it wasn't good. [ Definitely not good if Sam's comparing it to a serial killer show. ]

I'm okay but it's been awful here, man, I wish I'd come with you... There's too much to tell you over the bracelets. Are you in Freyr? Come to my room, we'll hug it out. [ Sam would really like a hug. ]

I wish you had, Sam. I really hate that you got stuck here with all of that. [ He nods. ] I'll be right there.

[ He doesn't waste any time high-tailing it back to Freyr, and over to Sam's room. He knocks a few times on the door and waits for a response. ]

[ She flashes him a half-smile, shifting a little uncomfortably as she does. ] D'you think you guys convinced the rulers there that we don't suck?

I think so. I mean, there's a lot of really talented people around here, more than I thought there were. It was really impressive.

Well, we were in Vanaheim, so we are okay...Our restaurant however is another story. We'll rebuild what we can.

Glad to hear it, though sorry about your restaurant. Do you think you'll need some extra help?
