[Some people have no respect for a good night's sleep.

Those up at the early hours of the morning just might be treated to a boy calling out for friends, "Reeku" or "Kairee" atop rooftops around the city. Sora's first impulse, naturally, is to search for his friends.

Sora's second impulse, between attempts to disrupt local sleeping schedules, is to explore. It's a new world, and despite the minor inconvenience of being kidnapped by Norse gods he never knew existed, he's rather optimistic about finding a way out. This is totally a temporary stopover. It always is. His travels throughout the day take him from district to district, from the Hospital, to the Arena, to Gefion Park. Luckily, his last leg of the journey takes him to the Carnival in the evening, where local ghosts are quite helpful in helping him puzzle out the functions of the bracelet(when they're not trying to scare the marbles out of him).

Sorry, Asgard. Sora's very first broadcast of the evening has a spooky start! It zooms in on the face of a gaunt, pale-faced ghoul. The ghostly image only persists until Sora's much healthier complexion squeezes into the picture beside it.]

Whooaa... it's working!

[Sora turns to the ghost, unfazed by its unearthly appearance.] And this is gonna help me find Riku and Kairi?

[An affirmative moan from the ghoul, mostly an incoherent murmur as it retreats from the foreground. Unfortunately, the ghoul hovers eerily above Sora's head, peering down at the viewer for the duration message. Only slightly unnerving.]

Well, if anybody out there's listening, I'm Sora. I'm trying to find my two friends. One's named Kairi. She's got red hair, she's about this tall and probably the friendliest person you'll ever meet. Then there's Riku! He's got messy white hair just like this guy. [Sora jerks a thumb at his ghostly friend.] Riku can be kind of grumpy sometimes, but he's a really good guy once you get to know 'em.

If you see them, let me know right away, okay?

[He very nearly finishes the message, but then he remembers! There's a burning question reserved for his housemates in Freya. Unfortunately, his attempt to send it exclusively to the Freya House ends in failure. All of Asgard is posed the question:]

By the way... Have any of you guys tried using your powers yet?

[The feed ends with him looking a little sheepish, maybe even a little flustered.]

[ooc: Feel free to tell that kid yelling on your rooftop at all hours of the morning to pipe down, or to run into him at the Carnival.]

[Sora straightens where he stands. Okay wait just a minute there, he knows Asgard wants them to stick around so they can bring life to that place, but that wasn't exactly what Sora had in mind!]

You really think they'd want that?

[His first impulse is to turn his head to look where the ghoul's been lurking this entire time.]

[Riku snorts out a laugh, at that reaction. JUST AS PLANNED.]

Who knows? You could always ask them. [A beat. Man, this is too much fun. He's missed it.] Although they might think that you're actually volunteering if you ask.

[He doesn't get much of a response from the ghoul, which is just enough to convince him to vamoose.]

I think I can probably get by on my own from now on.

[A nervous laugh before he turns back to the screen.]

Maybe hanging around the Carnival at night isn't such a good idea.

Where are you, Riku?

[Shakes his head helplessly. Really Sora, you should be able to tell when he's joking.]

Probably not. Though nothing bad's happened here yet. No one's gotten hurt, and there's not body possessing.

[Which is just how he likes it.]

Heimdall district. But if you stay there, I'll meet you.

[That's a relief.]

[You can never be too careful, you know! After two years picking away at hoards of Heartless, soul and body snatches aren't that far fetched.]

You sure?

I'm down by the Carnival past the carousel, but I can meet you at the entrance.

Trust me, Sora. There hasn't been any. It was just a joke. [And he would know. Hell, he'd probably be one of the first people on the scene of any possession. No one's getting possessed.

Alright. It might take me a little while, so stay put.

All right. I'll head on over to the entrance and sit tight.

[He's all smiles again as the feed cuts. He does get get a little hassled by a ghost or two along the way, but it's nothing he can't handle. In the mean time, when Riku comes to find him, he'll be waiting by the massive gates.]

[It's another one of those times where he wishes he had his powers again. Not that he could open portals anymore, but at least something to make him move faster.

But soon enough, he arrives, slowing down just a few blocks away from the entrance in order to catch his breath a little.]

Sora!

[Boy is he glad to see you. He's had some pretty confusing conversations even in the small time they've cut the feed.]

[He waves when he sees his friend, and jogs the rest of the distance to meet him.]

Riku-- Hey!

[You attract confusing conversations like the plague, Sora.

He raises a hand to wave as well.]

Been waiting long?

Not too long. But first--

[Once he nears his friend, he straightens, throwing a finger in the others' direction.]

Quick! What's the last thing you remember before you ended up here in Asgard?

[Raising an eyebrow at that finger in his face. He's almost going cross eyed just looking at the tip of it.]

We just left the Dark realm after you opened the door and read Kairi's letter.

[A small pause.] What do you remember?

I've got memories all the way up to when we got the King's letter way later than that!

You don't remember anything that happened after the door opened?

Nope. [A casual shrug of his shoulders.] Just walked right through it and wound up here, Keyblade-less and magic-less.

[His eyes narrow briefly and there's a serious tone in his voice.] What did Mickey's letter say?
