♣ 4 ♣ video;
[Loras turns on his bracelet, looking at the screen; he looks exhausted, to be sure. There are a few scratches on his face, and a bruise slowly starting to bloom along his jaw.
There are troubling things that Loras wishes to speak on, and while he initially debated speaking to the network at large...
...sometimes something must be said.]
It seems that I have been wandering in my sleep. I have never...I have never experienced this before. And that I seem to be wandering far afield--and finding that there are a great many things in the vicinity are dangerous to those who walk when not awake.
This may be a strange request to ask of someone, but I think I may be in need of a watcher.
[It is not easy for him to ask such a thing; but he would rather have someone watch him, than become horribly injured, or killed, because of this thing that is plaguing him.
But another thing that troubles his thoughts, he might as well address now, as well.]
...also, I have to ask.
If you have seen a glimpse of something--something that awaits you, when you return. A vision of an event that may be your end.
...what do you do, with that knowledge? When here, you can not change it?
[The apple gave Loras the glimpse of something horrific--and it reminded him of what his sister said, when he first arrived here.
Meaning that it most likely was true. And that a fate worse than death might be coming towards him, without a way to stop it.]

THANK YOU! <3 <3 <3
He remembered, not very long ago at all, when he had been in a similiar state over a vision of the future. He had wanted people to tell him it was not true, it could not happen. Lies of course.
The Doctor had made it clear that what he saw definitely would happen...
It was a terrible thing to know the future.]
If it is too difficult we could speak on some thing else?
[As Loras settled in closer his arms moved to wrap around him, trying to offer the comfort words failed at.]
no subject
Speak on anything. Just don't leave.
no subject
[Why was it he could ramble on at length on nearly any subject but when it came to moments like this words always seemed to fail? He moved a hand to Loras's shoulder, rubbing it in the way one might to soothe an upset child while he racked his mind for something, anything, that might be a distraction. ]
I... I started a new painting. I could not sleep anyway so, I began work on a Madonna. They were always popular paintings at home. In this one I think I will include a cat the bambino could be playing with. Do you have a fondness for cats?
[Not the best subject perhaps... but it was an attempt.]
no subject
Forgive me, I don't know what a Madonna is.
[The mention of cats, though, gets a ghost of a smile.]
Aye, I do. I've always enjoyed them.
no subject
No, Loras was far braver then he was. He needed support but he had not fallen entirely to pieces.]
No?
[Genuine surprise slipped into his voice. ]
I have never heard of anyone who had not heard of her, but then the Church is very powerful in my time.
The Madonna is the mother of Christ who it is said was born to take on mortal sin and guide the faithful into heaven when they pass on.
[Given that Loras had never heard of this he hedged... ]
Maybe that would not be a popular subject here after all.
Ah, no matter I will paint it anyway, if only so I can paint the cat.
no subject
Listening carefully, he gave a slight nod.]
I think people will still appreciate it. There are three main religions in my world...one contains the Mother. She is a member of the Seven, and sounds a great deal like the Madonna you speak of.
no subject
Even if this had started in a rough way it was nice to be close to some one like this, to hold them and even indulge in a moment's fancy to take a breath from his friend's hair... which he already decided would be floral scented.
This was what Asgard was really about wasn't it? Enjoying the simple moments, living for today because you never knew when things could change.]
There are seven Gods on your world? That does sound a great deal like Asgard.
It is strange. We were all brought here from different places and put through different troubles while we are here, but I can not imagine wanting to be anywhere else.
[Especially right now. Would that time could freeze for a while.]
I think, we should do what would make us happy here and try not to worry so much about what might be to come.
no subject
[After Renly died, he lost a great deal of his faith.]
There is so much I have to do, at home. But...with what is to come.
[Loras shook his head, not disagreeing.]
I have to say I agree.
[At Leonardo's last comment, the knight has to raise his head slightly, so he can look on the other man's face, unable to keep a bit of a cheeky look off his face.]
And what would make you happy, hm?
no subject
There um... is always my work.
[A feeble diplomatic response and he knew it. Still it was said until he found the courage enough to admit a little more.]
But lately, just being able to spend time with you has been enough.
no subject
[Loras shifted slightly, knowing that he was perhaps going too far; but he always liked to push boundaries, even after being burned as he had, before.
So instead, he managed a smile, shifting his head to press lips chastely against Leonardo's shoulder.]
Even in all of this mess.
I would agree.
no subject
And how impish he could be!
The kiss had been very subtle but that was what made it alluring. He had no doubt Loras was well aware of that.]
Loras, I...
[How quickly he had become such an important person in his life. ]
I really do wish the best for you. I hope you know that.
no subject
So he gave Leonardo a smile, and a shrug.]
I struggle to think you could think you could wish ill on anyone.
no subject
Then I have done a very good job of hiding that part of myself from you.
[There were some people that even he saw little reason for. Thiazi came to mind readily enough. Cruel people like that who cared so little for the harm they caused to others.
Not that he personally could harm anyone. That part at least was far beyond his abilities but he had friends who made death their profession.
He looked back down at Loras, catching his eyes, with a wickedly playful smile. Might as well make what he was thinking seem a little more evil than it was, just to tease Loras and give him reason to wonder.]
I will have to tell you about that some day.
[Maybe Loras could meet the assassins!]
no subject
[For Loras has done a great many things in the name of war, and if asked, he would still say he would slaughter entire armies if it brought Renly back. The entire world could burn, as long as those he cared about were safe.
But still, he could enjoy the tease.]
It also reminds me not to get on your bad side.
no subject
But, you are a soldier and I am a painter. When I must go to war I do so only with paint.
[And war was sadly, a necessity. He wished it was not but...]
A soldier can not be blamed for acting as he needs to.
no subject
Had I not encouraged Renly as I did, he might still be alive.
There a great many things I regret, Leonardo. Do not think me such a good and flawless person. Too many do.
no subject
[It wasn't as if he had meant for Renly to die. He had been hoping to support him. ]
no subject
[Loras was about to say something else, but instead, he forces himself to let it drop, and instead just breathes out, shaking his head.]
I am sorry. I only feel I am heading towards something I can't control, some horrible fate. [One that he probably deserves.]
no subject
[While Leonardo would deny he deserved anything terrible to happen to him. There were very few who really deserved that.]
I do know what you mean. Especially in Asgard it very often feels like we have no real control over our futures at all.
[Especially when they are so often shown what would end up happening to them... Curses.]
I am sorry.
no subject
Or I?
[Loras sighs, shaking his head, chuckling to himself.]
This is why I have been told not to think overly much.
[Because he thinks on nothing that truly ends up mattering. Or never manages to form the best thoughts together.]
no subject
[He snickered too.
Told not to think too much, ha! He'd been told things like that too but he could not help but find this nice. Sitting around, holding an attractive guy, debating things that did not matter or could not be changed... if Loras has not been so upset this might have been a perfect evening. ]
Who told you that?
no subject
[Loras chuckled.]
My grandmother. She thought me quite the fool, and that I shouldn't open my mouth much. I was good for show, at least.

[Loras truly doesn't have a high opinion on his intelligence. he's never really needed it.]
