[Isaac is broadcasting from inside of a pretty wrecked looking place. The shelves around him are still in some form of disarray, water damage is soaked into the walls, and there are various animal cages laying on the ground with different sorts of pets in them- sluggish lizards in one, sneezy rats in another... all in all, the sight is kind of depressing, even if there are obvious attempts to clean it up.

He sighs.]

Right. I was hoping to not have to do this, but I think that the animals will get sick if we keep them here for much longer. Can you guys foster some of these while we're getting the store rebuilt? We can give you all the stuff you need to take care of 'em.

Oh. And- we're broke. Like, really broke. [Having over a week of no income, plus repairs, plus having to use product to keep the animals alive will do that to you.]

So... [Isaac sighs.] There are those apple things that give you money, right? Would anyone be willing to share some?

That's really nice of you! How old is the kitty? What's their name?

I think she's about a year and a half? I've been calling her Stripes for lack of anything else, but as a general rule, we try not to name them.

I'll call her Stripes too, then! That's okay, right? But why don't you usually name them?

Well, they're not ours. That way, when people buy them, then they get to name them for themselves.

Ohhh, that's right! [Nepeta doesn't know how he manages to do it, if she worked in a shop full of pets she'd want to keep them all forever.

...giving this cat back is going to be hard.] Have you got lots of other animals who need a place to stay?

We do, yeah.

[He lets out a little sigh.]

But it's hard to find people willing to take some of the frogs and tarantulas and stuff.

No spiders! [She knew someone who had a giant spider who ate people. Not fun.] But I suppaws I could take care of some of the frogs if you told me how to?

Sure. They mostly all live together in one tank, and you just have to make sure it's humid enough and they have enough crickets. We have some frozen ones for them.

That doesn't sound too hard! Okay, I'll take them too then.

[Awkward pause.]

-I didn't get your name.

I'm Nepeta! Nepeta Leijon.

Right. I'm Isaac.

[He smiles. And yeah, this girl must be another one of those aliens. Almost five months, and he's still not used to seeing them.]

Nice to, uh- meet you.

Hi Isaac! It's very nice to meet you too.

[Think of it this way, Isaac, you're an alien to her too!]

I didn't know there was a pet shop here or I'd have come to see it before.

Yeah. We advertise every once in awhile, but with all of the attacks.

[He waves an arm at the relatively destroyed store. Sigh.]

[Nepeta nods, looking a bit more serious now.]

Yes, I understand. It's pawful. Do you think you'll be able to fix it up soon?

Hopefully within the next few weeks. Unless something else happens.
