[There's a face that might be familiar to some people appearing onscreen. It looks a little less perky than it usually does and seems to be needing a moment before actually speaking.]

Hey. I don't know what happened, but I could swear I'd gone home for a while. But I'm back here again and... yeah.

I guess a few people missed me, judging by the messages waiting for me. I'll get to those in a bit, but I thought I'd let everyone know I'm back. Scott... I guess I'll see you when you've got some time. I hope things have been quiet and I have no idea how long I've been gone, so any heads up on that would be appreciated.

[ though she's a little worried about that look. because that? that is not a good look. ]

Your husband was looking for you. [ and then, because she can't help it: ] You okay?

So I've seen from the barrage of messages all telling me that one Scott McCall is freaking out.

[Was he going to answer that? Not honestly. He didn't know Jo well enough to unburden any emotions he may or may not be feeling.]

Yeah, I'm good. Everything good here?

[swedge]

[ her eyebrows will just shoot up a little at that I'm good, because she's seen way too many of those faces to even think he's being honest.

but she won't push. just sort of shrug. ]

Nothing city-wide, at least. City's still standing and the natives are as...energized as ever. Still waiting for the next big thing.

[teenyoda]

There's always a next one, isn't there.

[It wasn't a question and he let out a small sigh, wondering how long he would have been able to have had some peace back home before shit hit the fan again.]

How about you? No drunken idiots being idiots in your place?

[swedge]

That tends to be how life works.

[ but she feels you, stiles. back home it was always one disaster after another. until there wasn't. but she'll give him a sympathetic smile anyway, before shrugging. ]

Nothing I can't handle.

Good. Maybe I'll come by sometime soon for a drink.

[Maybe only one. He'd learned that getting plastered here had bad consequences.]

Yeah, you look like you could use one.

[ and maybe she'd rather get a good look at you face to face, because she's only just a little bit worried. ]

I'll see if I can avoid the marriages for you this time around.

[teenyoda]

[He rolled his eyes, giving Jo a mild look.]

Everyone's going to enjoy rubbing that in forever, aren't they?

[Of course, to him it had been months, so he felt like it just never ended. It had been less than a week here.]

[swedge]

Seeing as it happened just this past week? Yeah.

[ she's not bothered by the look. stiles is allowed all his frustrated and annoyed and whatever else feelings he wants. she can only imagine what showing back up here in a place like this can do to you. ]

At least until something else comes around to take their minds off it.

Maybe if I'm lucky someone will grow a tail. Or... I don't know. A unicorn will appear.

[One that had nothing to do with him.]

Or someone will attack the city.

[ stiles, meet jo's kind of dark sense of humor. ]

Either way, give it more than a few days and everyone will move on.

Yeah, or that.

[Or maybe not that.]

So glad to hear I'm basically living in a giant high school.

[swedge]

All the drama but less grades.

[ and by that she means less to distract everyone from the drama. so basically high school but worse. ]

I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Depends on how hard classes were for you.

That all depends on the teacher. And the subject.
