[After much fiddling and many failed attempts... Leonardo finally manages to get a few messages to send to their intended targets, but this was only possible it seemed as a group message viewable to all. Darn these malfunctioning bracelets!]

It seems I have little choice, if I want to contact everyone I need to then the message must be open to all.

First, some one here in Asgard did order bracers for a wagon. If this is you they are complete and ready to be attached. I just... seem to have lost the note saying who they were for.

[Embarrassing, but there had just been a battle. Things were bound to be scrambled. ]

And second, I should apologize for disappearing during the battle. Apparently my living through a few years at home was deemed more important than my helping with the machines. Were they of any use at all or were they too much trouble?

[Leonardo waved a hand in the air as if writing invisible notes before answering his own question.]

They may have been too complex... Maybe a simpler machine that could do more damage would work better.

[He does have in mind a kind of armored wagon with canons. Built correctly it should be accurate and deadly. He just needs to work out the details of this tank... ]

It really feels like I have been away longer... But Loras? I have finished that painting. I said you would be given the chance to see it when it was complete, so... I think you are still here, and well? If you are you could stop by the workshop sometime to see it?

[And this might be a pretense just to get you to show up but hey, not going to advertise that.]

Beyond the buildings being torn up and things in disarray I hope all is well with everyone? And, I apologize again if you received a strange message from me. I did not notice the bracelets were malfunctioning until I had already sent so many messages out.

I am fine--I lost my bracelet, it seems. Wandered for days...weeks. A friend found my bracelet and helped me gain it back, as well.

Ah, forgive me. I slip into it with out thinking some times. I could teach you if you would like to learn it.

[But maybe he would not explain that one. It was a touch embarrassing to admit how concerned he had been. ]

So it was a bracelet! I am glad it was found but sorry you had to experience the greyness.

[They were kind of unnecessary with the native speaker anyway. But, you realize this likely will subject Loras to Leonardo's handwriting... he might have been better off with the books.]

Did he? Merlin is a very good person. I feel terrible disappearing like that. He and I were supposed to manage the steam machine I designed together.

[It was nice to hear he had been missed by his friends, but hearing that Loras missed him was an even greater feeling. ]

I think he attempted to use it against the frost giants that we had to fight--your work does help, even when you are not here.

I had always hoped my work might have some meaning. I suppose that has been the greatest part about coming to Asgard, discovering that it does.

Do people not listen to you at home, then?

Some will listen, others dismiss what I do as ridiculous because it has never been done. There will always be those who refuse to understand new ideas.

You must have run into people like this too?

...not in the same way. Though some might think I am one of those people--or was.

I suppose... some people do have other interests.

I can not help but think there are three classes of people: those who see, those who see when they are shown, and those who do not see. It is only the last that seems wasteful.

As I said, I'm not known for my intelligence.

I don't know which I would be considered.

Just because you are not known for something does not mean it is beyond you. Since you have already asked for instruction I would say you are the kind who might see when they are shown.

[This might change depending on how well these Italian lessons end up going. ]
