No. No. NO!
[The video is an absolute blur, but there is definitely destruction happening. The tinkle of broken glass, loud thumps and cracks that sound a lot like furniture being hit with blunt objects - anything you'd associate with a house being utterly totalled from the inside can be heard through the maelstrom.
Then it stills, and one red-faced, absolutely apoplectic Pyro is visible in the middle of his path of destruction.]
You assholes. You stupid fucking assholes. If you were so almighty, we wouldn't be any threat to you, would we? So why the hell take them away? Curse me. Make me think I'm Stryker, I don't care. Just bring them back, and do it now.
[It doesn't matter how many times he's told others that people come back. That's it's random. That they're better off. This is his fucking leader and second-in-command, two of the mutants he admires above all others, and they're both gone. If someone doesn't talk him down soon, he'll be paying off the damages on a burnt-down paid residence for the rest of his time in Asgard.]
((ooc: backtags are coming, but this huge of a drop had to be referenced. also, if any gods want to garnish his wages for the damage or anything, consequences are obviously expected for this.))

[Okay, he's done. Because that kind of reminds him...]
Looks like I'm homeless again. I'm not going back to that shitty boarding house, and I could barely keep up with a third of the rent here. [He glances back at the house he just trashed, then outward toward the street.] It'll work for awhile. Just keep switching districts and no one'll catch me.

[She relaxes a little at the subject change, and shakes her head at his solution. It's a terrible one, and there's no way she's going to let him do it.]
Come on, you're not going to do that. If you don't want to go back to the welcome house you can stay in the mushroom. It's only me and Vanitas so there's plenty of room.
no subject
[Yes, his tone is light, but he actually looks a bit stunned. Technically, it's less than she's done for him before, but he's mocked that mushroom from his first day here. And now she's offering him a room?]
How much do you want for it? The room and board.
no subject
Do you even have a job right now? [She chuckles.] Come on, just worry about moving your stuff before any of that.
no subject
[It's just a place to stay. It's not moving in moving in. And his only other option is the street. But man, without rent involved, did his feet ever get cold just now.]

no subject
Yeah, alright. [A hint of his grin returns.] If I'm doing this, I'm doing it right. Not losing my girlfriend in fifteen minutes.
no subject
It'd be embarrassing! I bet Bobby would never let you hear the end of it!
... Probably. [He is too nice for his own good.]
no subject
[Just to try it out, he takes her hand and laces his fingers through hers. He's held hands before, but this feels different - intertwined, linked. It gives him a bit of a shiver.]
no subject
Well, we haven't broken up yet, so that means you get to brag right now.
no subject
[He tilts his head, as though considering it.]
It's still worth bragging about, though. [His eyes have a little twinkle. There's your compliment for the day, Euri.]
no subject
Then focus on the bragging. That's more fun, anyway.

[There's a little pang at the memory of Oswin, a vague, crawling sort of guilt. What he'd wanted was both of them, no strings, forever. But Oswin is gone, and as much as he still misses her, he's made his choice. Not a bad one, but different. Limiting in its own way, freeing in others.
He puts an arm around her, tugging her a bit closer.]
I was expecting more of it from you, actually. Where's all the crowing about having pinned down the guy who'd never commit?
no subject
His question though, has her giggling almost shyly.]
Well... you don't like making a big deal out of things. If I do that I might scare you off.
no subject
[It was always about being scared, who is he kidding? He can't even continue with that line of defense because he knows Euri will pounce on it, it's so laughably weak. A different angle, then:]
I still can be alone. Forever, if I have to. It makes most shit way easier in the long run, it really does. [The next part is obvious, especially given the huge loss he's just faced, but he's willing to admit it just this once.] I don't want to anymore.
no subject
And you aren't. I guess that's what's important, huh?
no subject
Then, disentangling himself from her grasp, he stands up and turns around to look through the picture window at the front of the house.]
This is gonna get me in so much shit. [Yep, he's just smirking at that.] Better pack up my stuff and get it to the Mushroom now, huh? Before city guards decide to take it as repayment?
no subject
Y... yeah. Let's do it quick, and maybe they won't care. I'll help.
no subject
[His own smirk slowly dies as he enters the house, staring around him at the destruction. Broken, shredded furniture, shards of glass everywhere, anything that could be picked up lying wherever it landed - this is the sum total of his fury now. This is all he can do.
Once he burned his former home to the ground. Now? Everyone's right. He threw a tantrum.]
Pathetic. [He scowls down at the remains of a cushion cover, kicking it across the room.]
no subject
[She pads after him, glancing at the destruction and immediately deciding to focus on the things that are salvageable, not the things that are ruined.]
Come on, let's start with your bedroom and work our way outwards.
no subject
Wait, there's still one more thing to consider. The duffel bag in his closet, full of combustible fluids. Well, that plan's off, so hopefully he can explain it without any major freakouts.
With a sigh, he grabs the empties from his closet and starts loading one from his dresser.]
no subject
Grabbing a box she'll start on the candles. It shouldn't be a problem if he brings them along, but he'll need to keep a close eye on them.]
We might have to make a few trips, huh?
no subject
[He smiles over at her, the first time he's smiled since re-entering the house. It's a weird feeling, but he really is glad he's not doing this alone.]
no subject
no subject
[His smile broadens. This feels so weirdly... easy. He thought everything would change at once, but they're just laughing and goofing off like nothing at all has changed. In fact, it almost seems better.
He crosses the room quite suddenly, grabbing a candle from her hand and putting it down before wrapping his arms around her. It's a bizarre gesture for him, nearly insane, but today's an insane kind of day.]
Thanks. [See? Insane.] For coming back. For waiting. Everything.
