What do people do for work around here? Especially those who have never had a job before. [ Penelope's got plenty of skills, but none of them are really work related at all and being stuck in a house her entire life means she's never had the chance to even think about getting experience. ] I understand it's not entirely necessary if I stay in the room I was given in Odin's house, but it would be nice to have some extra spending money. And something to keep me busy when things are relatively calm here.

[ There's a bit of a pause, as if Penelope's hung up, before she adds something more. ] I'm also looking for someone to play chess with, or someone I can teach if chess isn't something most worlds have. It's one of my favorite games and it would be nice to play it again.

Kids that go to our camp...we're really close.

That's good. It isn't normally that way for people, is it? To get along with just about everyone they're surrounded by?

I think it's pretty normal for people where I come from. But we have a pretty small group of people.

That must be nice. [ Penelope's never had that. ]

Well, we can do the same thing here. I've liked everyone I've met in Asgard so far.

They do seem rather friendly here, don't they? [ For the most part... ]

Generally. There don't seem to be nearly as many monsters, either.

You have monsters in your world?

Lots of them. It's our job to beat them back to where they came from.

Really? That must be a terrifying job.

I don't mind it. It can be scary sometimes, but it's my life.

I can't even imagine... Was it something you entire family did, or did you decide to go into it when you were old enough?

It was something I was born into, kind of. My dad and my stepmom are just normal people, they don't really fight monsters...all that often. My dad is a history professor.
