soooo if any of you guys saw draco literally blow himself up on the network the other day.... he did, in fact, die :| and then he did, in fact, immediately lose his bracelet afterwards :|||||!!!!!!!! i think he took it off to work with some chemicals in his shop and then just never put it back on sooooo in case you dont know him! if anyone sees a boy who looks like this..... [ And Jade will simply attach an image that looks awfully like this, except drawn in green magic marker. ] ...he will probably be gray! point him my way, please i owe him the butt kicking of the century >:( anyway, in happier (??) news did anyone else get to see someone they were really missing here? i wish my friend could have stayed :'(

Och, thank ye. I'm afraid I'm not so good that part of the bracelet-thing. Are those emoti...whatever ye called them those wee little symbols at the end of what ye were writing? If so, that's them.

[ She hears the relief, does her best to make a note of that. ]

[There's a faint noise like he's shifting something around, but then his tone changes completely.]

Oh! Aye, I see what ye mean. Hey, that's very clever, miss. Did ye come up with that yourself?

[ And the soft sound of Jade stifling laughter. ]

I didn't! I wish I did. There are lots of cute ones, though.

[ She pushes over -- <3 ]

That's a heart? Looks like a wee bunch of flowers to me.

[But if he tilts his head just so maybe he can see that one too.]

Though I suppose it could be a heart, if ye look at it right. What would ye use that for, anyway?

My friends and I spent most of our time talking over computers when I was younger. I didn't have anyone nearby, and we chatted in text! Sooo.. symbols and stuff like that are really good for tone, ehehe.

Oh! I think I see what ye mean. So ye would send each other those wee smiles when ye wanted to smile and maybe something that looks like a frown if ye were unhappy. And the hearts would be...er, well, for other things. Is that it?

Yep! You got it. It's a little silly, but it's mostly just fun. You don't have computers in your world, I guess?

Ah...yes and no. There's computers, all right, but they'd not had anything like that back in my time. I'm from somewhat earlier than a lot of other people here from my world.

Oh! Are you from Earth?

Aye, I am. My name's Jamie, by the way.

[Not that she can't read that for herself, but he figures it can't hurt to introduce himself anyway.]

What about ye? Are ye from Earth as well?

And I'm Jade! It's nice to meet you, Jamie.

[ The introduction wins a smile from her, at least. ]

I am. I don't live there right now, but I'm on my way back.. it's complicated.

Oh, aye. So you've been living on another planet, then? I've done that myself.

[In a manner of speaking, anyway, and there's the briefest of pauses before he clarifies what he's just said.]

Well, maybe not lived so much as visited. We never really stayed in one place too long.

You went from planet to planet?

[ She sounds thrilled by this. ]

How? Could you teleport?

[He'd thought that maybe she'd done that too, given what she'd said, but maybe that wasn't the case. Or maybe it was just she'd only wound up on one planet herself.]

No, we had a ship. Ah...I don't suppose you've met the Doctor here, have ye? He's a friend of mine. We used to travel together. What about ye, though? How'd ye wind up somewhere that wasn't Earth?

I have! I've met several Doctors, actually, and they all seem very nice.

[ Her enthusiasm remains sincere. ]

Um - it's a little hard to explain if you don't know how the game works. But I used my powers, and we traveled through a window.

Aye, he is.

[Or maybe it should be they are? He's not sure, but he can agree that the Doctor is nice. Although he does tend to have his occasional moments, depending on which one of him you've run across.

It's true, though, that it might be hard to explain, and not just because of not knowing how the game works. Even though he's learned a lot traveling with the Doctor, there's things he still doesn't understand, and occasionally they cause some confusion - like now.]

There's a game that gives ye powers that let ye travel through windows? Would it not be easier to just open the window and go through that way if ye have to do that?

That's really not how it works. I can try to explain it better sometime! And I really do miss my powers here. But I guess I'm just kinda focusing on the whole.. plant thing for now.

[ There's still a smile in her voice, though. ]

But I like traveling, regardless.

[There's still parts of it he misses, truth be told, even though he's getting more settled in Asgard. And there's still plenty of things here for him to learn about - like something else she'd mentioned.]

What plant thing do ye mean, though?

Oh! The plant thing. Growth - that's my power here. Have you not seen it?

Oh! Aye, I've heard of that. I've not seen anyone use it, though. At least not directly.

Can ye really make plants grow like they say ye can?

Yes! I can do a lot of cool stuff with them, too. It's actually pretty incredible.

[She's stumped him again, unfortunately. He understands "stuff" well enough, but "cool" isn't a term he's really familiar with.]

Um! Gosh, well, I'm trying to think of a specific example. But I can make the plants grow into any shape that I want.
