[Nevy really, honestly, genuinely... hates everyone. Like. Everyone. Everyone except Gil, because Gil is wonderful, but yet again Gil is not here and Nevy has no idea what to do other than curl up in her bed and seethe.

The awful creature was in her bathtub, again. Except this time, when she howled in fury and pounded on the other's door, no one came in to save her. Not Pyro, not the nice girl, Oswin. No one. And so she banged on the door for like ten minutes, before the sulking lizard started attempting to escape its bathtub prison and she shrieked and ran for cover, slamming the door to lock the creature inside the room, ready to forget about it.

Two hours later, when she had to use the toilet, it was there still. Further banging was yet unproductive, and so with an angry huff, she pushed on the doorhandle --

-- and the door swung open, uninhibited, to an empty room.

The neighbors surely must have heart her enraged shouting, but Nevy didn't care! How awful! What a horrible person!

Still in need of the toilet, she chased the creature into the empty apartment with a broom to give her peace and quiet in the bathroom. Halfway through, she heard it scratching at the door between them. Ugh. She had fled to her room and locked herself in, ready to forget about the thing.

An hour and a half after that, she hears scratching again.

She bites her lip, staring at the door. What the heck is she supposed to do with it, even? If it dies, it'll stink up the whole apartment... But she doesn't want it! She doesn't want to feed it or take care of it! Ugh ugh ugh!]

Hi, um. Does anyone know what lizards eat? My awful roommate is gone... but he left his terrible pet in the bathroom again... [Her cheeks pinken.] I don't want it to die, it'll start smelling and I don't want to have a dead animal next to my room!

This is so awful. Could someone please come take it away?

It's already shut! Just come already!

Alright, alright! I'll be right over!

[And she will, knocking on Nevy's door. It'll be faster to go through her room to get to Pyro's.]

[Nevy is hovering a foot or so off the ground when she pulls the door open, and she examines the newcomer critically.]

It's in the bathroom. [Because saying hello would be too nice obvs.]

[Euri nods, not expecting any niceties.]

Can I go through your room?

[Might as well be civil, at least.]

Well, yeah. Where else would you go through? [Nevy wrinkles her nose, unimpressed.]

Well, I know how to pick locks. [But she'll step inside.]

[Euri steps inside but Nevy doesn't move out of her way right then, instead turning her pretty face down in a scowl.] Oh. So you are a criminal. [Good to know that her assumptions had been right.

Regardless, she backs away finally and pads over to the bathroom door, placing her hand on the knob and hesitating.]

Hey, I learned it from my roommate. [She shoots Nevy a scowl as she follows.] When I was still living in Freya's welcome house.

I lived with Pyro and I didn't take in any of his bad habits, regardless of how horrible he was! That's no excuse.

[Hesitate hesitate hesitate. She opens her mouth to say something when the thing starts scratching at the door again; Nevy eeps and jerks her hand away from the handle.]

It isn't a bad habit! It's useful.

[Euri blinks, then steps towards the door.]

Stay out of the way, alright?

Okay, [she agrees with no protest, stepping away and hunching a little behind Euri. If it pounces out because it's hungry and wants flesh, it'll get Euri first and she'll have time to run.]

[She isn't too concerned. She hasn't had a bad experience with the basilisk yet, so all she needs to do now is get it to calm down enough so she can pick it up.

She opens the door slowly, so as to not startle it, and sidles inside cautiously.]

[Like the brave warrior she is, Nevy cowers on the other side of the door, clutching the knob in case she has to slam it shut and trap them inside to save herself. She's so thoughtful and concerned.]

[She'll approach the basilisk slowly, crouching down and holding her hand out so it can sniff and recognize her.

It'll take five or ten minutes, but eventually she's getting it calm enough to scoop into her arms with a sigh.]

[After the five minute mark Nevy gets tired of waiting and wants to see what's going on, so she peeks her nose around the door.

By the eight minute mark she is boredly leaning against the door, watching and sighing and getting sick of waiting for something interesting to happen that isn't Euri taming the wild monster. Maybe it'll snap out of nowhere and eat her or something.

Then Euri scoops it up, and her eyes get a little wide.] It really likes you...

Why don't you just, keep it?

[She's making sure to stay relaxed the whole time, so as to not startle the basilisk.]

I'll take it home for now, but I'm not keeping it.

Why not? [Her voice is a little grumbly, and maybe a bit snotty.] You seem to love it so much.

Because I have other animals I'm taking care of. This one is Pyro's.

But he doesn't treat it well!

And he uses it as an excuse to be awful...

Then I'll yell at him until he acts more responsible.

Well-- whatever! So long as it's not in my business anymore, I don't care what you do with it!

[Someone who wasn't an asshole would just thank her for coming to get it, helping her out in the process. Nevy unfortunately does not meet those qualifications.]
