Hey! Did anyone else here realize dwarves are really great?

I'm really serious. Their city is kind of shit, there aren't many plants around at all, but they make really, really good alcohol and they're fun to drink with.

[Euri had a fun time in Svartalfheim, for the most part. It was a nice little vacation, even if the end of it had gotten pretty violent.]

They're good at making weapons, too. [Her tone is turning very pleased and she switches to video. The giant mushroom she and Riku are staying in in Gefion Park is in the background, along with her nearly overgrown-looking garden. In her hand is a metal staff. It isn't overly fancy, but it looks like a lot more than just a simple metal rod.]

I finally got my own staff there! It isn't even that heavy. I think they do something to adjust the weight, it's really easy to hold. [As a demonstration she'll spin it in one hand, before setting one end on the ground.] I think I'd go back there, even if it means taking that train.

[She starts to look thoughtful at that, but....

Nope, flustered. Not offended, because she kind of did try with Vanitas, but his rejection was horrible.]

Because I got exactly no warning about Kaz before we fucked the first time, and this guy sounds like he might actually go beyond threats. It's the kinda thing I need to know going into this.

We're not exclusive, right? So it shouldn't matter. If he threatens you it wouldn't be because of that kind of thing.

Just because he got fussy sometimes doesn't mean I couldn't - ... see other people. [Not that she did, until Pyro came along. But the 'freedom' was always there.

[He frowns, not bitter or upset but uncomfortable. The way he usually looks when some inconvenient bit of emotional truth has to come out.]

No, y'know what's confusing? Someone who's so into relationships that they say it's like ownership - and that's a good thing - being with two different guys who won't do it. Why do you put up with it? Why don't you just find someone who'll actually give you what you want?

[It almost sounds like he's trying to push her away, and he's aware of that, but he's also hoping she'll see that's not his intention. He genuinely wants to get why someone wouldn't be selfish if it's this important to them.]

You're not - that bad, Euri. [Bad start.] I mean, basically calling yourself a write-off is a huge stretch. I'm not gonna go all 'there's someone for everyone,' but a girl who can't touch people without killing them got a boyfriend.

[Nope, still not doing that great.]

Fuck. Just - don't settle because you think it's what you deserve. Don't do that. You're way too smart for that.
