[Have a slightly annoyed looking Samantha, seated behind the counter at Pinch of Sage. Her left arm is in a sling and there's a bandage over her cheek and over part of her neck. She grunts sourly and narrows her eyes a little before addressing the camera.]

Well, we're back from Svartalfaheim. I don't know how much progress we actually made up there, but we did bring at least a few weapons back from them, though mostly personal gear.

It seems like if you're wanting to work with the Dwarves, they'll work with you, but it's all deal by deal basis, trade for trade. They don't really want anything more permanent than that. However, they're definitely not turning their noses up at the gold and the workmanship... well, just ask anyone who came back. Someone might look into mounting another expedition in a couple months to try and set up some more trade.

I see things are nice and quiet around here right now. [Her eyes narrow just one more fraction. She wasn't sure if they were being kept out of the mission or if Odin had just used them as bait to keep attention elsewhere. Oddly? She wouldn't have minded the latter that much.] Anyone needs me, we're back up and running here at Pinch. Odin, Fenrir? If either of you wants more details, stop by or drop me a line.

Still alive over here. Looks like I picked up a level, too, 'cause it healed fast.

[He got a pretty nasty stab wound during the ambush, and with his regeneration glitchy at best outside of the city, it was touch and go for awhile. But it kicked back in as soon as he was inside Asgard, so he's as good as new. Just pissed the hell off.]

Maybe this'll change peoples' opinions on spies.

Doubt it. Let's be honest with ourselves, Pyro. There's some real pragmatists with us, but a lot of them went to Svart with us. Even the warriors are the sort who fight for principles. Me? I don't care one way about the life of a spy, but I don't want something coming back to bite us in the ass.

No idea. The info circulating about the abilities here didn't have anything on regeneration. But that huge gut wound healed faster than my black eyes used to.

Quite possible, in both cases. I would wager that the third tier is a possibility. The only ways to really test aren't exactly pleasant, and I'd really rather not indulge.

[She chuckled and spared him a crack about her other half. It wasn't like he didn't know she existed after all.]

I let Merlin take care of the worst of it, but a sprain's nothing serious, and apparently we missed the trip. It'll be good in a day or so, and I missed having a little pain to remind me not to get cocky.

Pain's a reminder, Pyro. It's your body's way of telling you that you fucked something up.

[She snorted and laughed.]

I'll be fine, trust me. I've had lots worse damage than this in my life.

Yep. Went up to see the dwarves. We got some gear and met some shark-toothed bastards on our way back. Not sure how Thiazi heard, but I'll be honest. It's safe to assume she listens to our conversations on this thing sometimes.

[Compared to the rest of the party, Ichigo got off pretty unscathed. A few shallow cuts are still on his face, but he seems mostly alright. ....except he actually took a pretty nasty hit to his ribs, but it doesn't seem broken or cracked, so he's just charging through it. If there was one thing he didn't wish he had to use, though, it would have been the hidden blade up his sleeve, but...well, we can't always get what we wish.

Anyway, he huffs (a big MORE than he should) and shakes his head.]

I'm sure as hell never going back there. They might actually take apart Zangetsu next time.

[Because the dwarves were interested in his sword, what with it being pure black.]

They might. He's subdued, but I recall you saying he's a living weapon. That's sort of the type of thing they'd be interested in.

Seems we're ... late. We can get ready with a welcoming committee though.

Largely as you expected. The fighting was on the train back. Augmented humans. We think Thiazi sent them, and I'll be blunt. I think she's not only reading these messages on the network since she's hacked in before, but I think Odin might have been banking on it. So, you could say he played us a little...

At least that's my current assumption. I'll forgive him if it's actually true. I would have done the same.

The dwarves? Willing to make arms for a price in gold and tales, like I expected. I think, maybe, maybe with a lot of effort and your name we 'might' make inroads into getting more trade, but they're very stubborn. It's probably more a case of if people can manage to get up here, the better fighters among us can get properly geared up.

We didn't have troubles there, though. Well... the dwarves did take an over interest in one of our guys' weapons, but nothing bad came of it.

[Of course, reasonably thorough as debriefings went, but at the same time leaving out the most important detail.]

[He doesn't like the sound of Thiazi's interference, especially when Sam mentions Odin's potential hand in it. Fenrir is silent for a moment, mulling that over, before turning his thoughts elsewhere.

Locks don't matter on the network, he knows that much. The gods can see through everything- talking about Odin over the bracelets would be a folly. So Fenrir leaves that alone for now, but it's still in his mind.]

I've already told you- the dwarves don't care about our war. They'll survive it. What reason would they have to steadily arm us, if it puts them under Thiazi's scrutiny?

[Fenrir sighs, before looking back toward her.]

Dwarves? Hell no. Not even a scuffle. The assassins were augmented humans. Looked like they came out of Utgard or maybe they were from Thrymheim, but we didn't see them around town until the train.

And yeah... Ran's more willing to stick her neck out, despite that. Is it because they're closer to the giants?

Shame. They'd have listened if you ate a few- though I think that's more my job.

[He shrugs.]

It's because they don't believe our scuffles affect them, buried in the earth as they are. They keep their heads down and everything sails over them.
