The bracelet is propped up some ways away, and you can see his hands linked together in front of him on the table, and it's basically all very businesslike.

He even clears his throat.

Still, when he talks, it's on the light and playful side, even if the other day was a rough one and things have been... tense. ]

I've been confusing a whole lot of you these past ten days, haven't I? Sorry about that. Apparently, the gods thought it'd be a fun idea to throw me through ever single man I've ever been, every single personality I've ever had. From the first to the tenth.

[ He takes a breath. ]

For those who have no idea what that's supposed to mean, it means that I'm a Time Lord, and when I'm dying, I regenerate, meaning I rewrite every single cell in my body including the brain cells, which comes along with a few... personality changes, not just appearance. I've still got all memories, but I'm not really the same anymore.

I thought nothing at all was wrong, I thought I'd always been the way I was every day. I kept changing my clothes because I always do that after regeneration.

So!

[ And he brightens up, straightens in his seat and moves his hands to clap them together. ]

The other Doctor who arrived this round, Nine, if you're curious about who I'm supposed to be, here I am. And, Mel, Martha, I'd like to meet you two properly, as myself, so if you'd respond, that would be great. If you don't I'll be just a little heart broken.

[ After a pause, he tugs a little at his bowtie with a bit of a sniff. ]

Bowties are cool again.

[ And with one final grin, he cuts the feed. ]

I think you have to tell the whole story here.

well shit
where should i even start
i guess it makes the most sense to start with the game
its not like theres a whole lot to say about it
so i played a game with my friends a few years ago
only the timeline got derailed when john was stupid enough to get tricked by the trolls and ended up dying
and we couldnt get jade into the medium because of that so she was as good as dead too
(the medium is the dimension we got shipped off to when we played the game fyi)
so that left me and rose in a doomed timeline
and because the others were dead our session stagnated and kept the monsters from giving us any good drops
which we needed if we were going to progress as far as we could
before i went back to stop john from being a blundering idiot
and help real dave
so ransacking lohacse and using the cash to buy decent equipment was the most viable option to make shit happen within a reasonable time frame
especially when we couldnt alchemize half of what we needed without jade entering the medium
and besides
its not like the timeline lasted long enough for it to matter

...from a narrative standpoint, yes, I suppose it could be.

But it's not the only one of its kind.

like the bucket licking fuckheads who screwed up our timeline played another version of the game in their universe
and i just got to a new session with some friends before i ended up here
and that session spawned from a reset version of the universe we were originally from
so who knows how many teenagers are wrecking the questionable physics of their respective localities in the medium

Not many other places to do it.

well like i said hes a universe
or becomes one
in our session jade obtained paradox slime from the frogs she caught with real dave
which is this green genetic goo you get when you cant appearify something because its fixed in the timeline
and then she had to breed the aforementioned slime in a certain order so the genesis frog had the proper genetic code
which was all kind of convoluted and jade knows more about it than i do
but once the frog was bred thats when he was supposed to go in the center of skaia to mature into a universe
or at least thats what would have happened in a normal session
ours was kind of a mess and nothing really went right

i didnt really have nothing to do with it
