 If it is now Spring, I believe I can be almost certain that I have now entered my twelfth year. 

[Mordred is settled near to a window in New Camelot at the moment with his two stuffed birds, Sir Arbird and Sir Freebird] 

I wish to build a castle. [ A pause before he gestures to his stuffed animals] ...for them.

[ morgana may be somewhat gloomy and bitter and cray but even she knows what it means and she knows her duty. The child has no parents and she knows what her birthdays looked like and so. ]

Then we will build it after the celebration.

I am no carpenter, but I would help. My sister and I used to play at making forts as children.

Most castles I've seen are stone but would would be easier to make it be movable. I can try and help find some if you like.

[He wasn't the type to celebrate birthdays. The very idea of celebrating them never stuck to him, even after having been adopted by the Shoukiin clan. Ayame always made a fuss over it.]

There are many drawings in the books I have from the library... [Mordred lifts a bird in hand] But I do not know which is best for a bird king's castle.

It definitely sounds like quite a predicament. To have so many different choices to choose from in creating a castle, it must be difficult. Have you asked for second opinions from your close acquaintances and loved ones though? What about the birds? Do they have any favorites?

[Then at his words, he can't help realize how much this child reminded of him when he was first told about birthdays. He was much younger than he was though.]

Yes. On these grand occasions, it is customary to grant wishes for the one celebrating their day of birth. Any wish that the individual is able to grant. [A slight pause, in order, to give the other boy digest his explanation.] Do you have any wish in need of granting?
