[ After making his way out onto the streets post his arrival-slash-explanation about Asgard (like the old Hammertime comic books, seriously? ), Stiles Stilinski has spent the past ten minutes trying to get a feel for his surroundings. He'd stumbled out of the gray room clutching his map and, armed with the knowledge that if he wanted to, he could probably set things on fire, that he needed to find an Odin house, and that he had no frickin' idea how he got here.

What he got a feel for instead of the actual, you know, surroundings, was Derek Hale. It had taken him looking into the city for about half a second to spot a familiar face, and that presented Stiles with two options.

1.) Be relieved at the sight of a familiar face and approach him or
2.) Assume something completely different than what's probably true and approach him anyway.

Naturally, we're at number two. The bracelet's feed fizzles to life to catch the sound of voices just as they start. It's Stiles' bracelet that's catching the feed, but there are definitely two voices; one is higher pitched and a little frantic sounding, compared to the other, deeper and definitely older. You would think when people met up in places they'd stick together, work things out, but you've obviously never met Stiles before. ]

--all your fault, I'm telling you, I don't know how it was your fault, but it's definitely your fault!
Because that makes logical sense, Stiles.

[ Dry, exasperated, and a little more than broaching annoyed, Derek has not been enjoying this little trip either. His senses are dampened, he's been kidnapped to Asgard, of all places, and now Stiles is (unsurprisingly) accusing him of being behind the kidnapping. Despite the fact that if he arrived the same way the alpha did, then he would've been given some amount of information already. ]

Perfectly logical sense. I definitely have every ability at my disposal to bring us here, and the willingness to do it.

--It wouldn't surprise me! God only knows what other kind of crap you're hiding behind your [you can just hear him mocking Derek, and there's some rustling, like he's flailing his arms around] ~big bad alpha powers~, and, oh yeah, if you haven't noticed, literally everything supernaturally-involved in my life all comes back to you!

Surprise, my big bad alpha powers can't transport people to other worlds. [ There's a growl there, but no teeth or flash of eyes to go with it. ] And even if they could, they're go-- [Wait, something has distracted said big bad alpha. He stares flatly at where the bracelet is projecting the screen. ] Stiles.

Yeah, okay, sure, you know, maybe I would actually know that if you'd actually tell people things once in a whiwhat. [And now Stiles actually turns his attention to the bracelet and--]

Th--crap! [ There's a loud squawk of something before it gets cut off...presumably as the two keep arguing. Aren't your newest arrivals absolutely charming, Asgard?]

Isaac said I should introduce myself, so I shall. It seems as though plenty of people have already mentioned most of the basics, but if there's anything else, do ask. I've been here a bit of time.

Ah, and I'm Sophie.

[ Of course that gets Derek's attention, and he considers her before he actually replies. ]

If anything comes to mind. [ Having information is good, but right now he's mostly just gauging what they've been told before he asks any other, more specific questions. ] How much is 'a bit of time?'

[ He does, however, incline his head slightly as she gives her name and he offers his. ] Derek.

[that's what it was meant to do, yes. even on video it's obvious she's not very tall, with the sharp features and the kind of shadows under her eyes that come from not sleeping much for a long time. her face is schooled into a pleasant expression, but she has watchful eyes. she also couldn't be more than 20, probably less]

There's plenty to know, but I don't know what you've been told, or what would be useful. I've been here since the very end of summer. It's fairly well into spring now.

[her head inclines in return] Well-met, Derek.

[ More than anyone else, Derek knows better than to judge by looks after everything he's been through. She could look small and young, and he could have feet and pounds stacked on her, but there's a sharpness to her eyes that's familiar. ]

We've been given the basic rundown-- why we're here, the fact we were chosen by our hosts, an estimate of how many people are here, the situation regarding the Welcome Halls. [ He was paying attention during Stiles' conversation with Merlin. ] Along with the fact that, whether we had them before or not, we now have abilities specific to the god that's chosen us.

[ There's a sort of half surprised, half disgruntled expression in response to how long she's been in Asgard, but he simply nods his understanding. ] And you, Sophie. [ He thinks. If Isaac told her to introduce herself, anyways, he'll try to believe as much. ]

[smart man. isaac made that mistake at first, before she decided she liked him. she's measuring derek, trying to figure out what he's like. a little protective of her friends, this one]

That sums up the basics fairly well. I can't tell you much about your house powers, I don't know many from your house. The Teacher's Council could likely help on that front. There are plenty who have lost abilities, though. The city is fairly easy to navigate, I'm sure Isaac can point you at most places of interest. We're in the same house, but I don't live in the hall anymore.

[she offers a bare smile at his disgruntled expression.]
