[ the feed comes to life showing a woman who hadn't shown her face much until now. There is a small smile on her lips, honest and solemn. ]
Now that it is over, you will hear our words, for you deserve them.
The curse you experienced was not our doing as I know many of you have guessed. None of us wanted this and none of us schemed to bring it into fruition.
It was not the doing of the giants either; for no giant, not even Thiazi is able to wield such power. It is thankfully entirely beyond their abilities.
[ she releases a breath and then continues. ]
We think it was Freya. She is the only one strong enough to formulate such a plan. We heard her screams, we know her heart is full of anger. We believe that in her anger, she had struck the city with this curse without much prior thought and so the results were as grave as they were.
[ a moment of silence. ]
I must ask you, find the strength in your heart and do not think of her too harshly. Whatever Freya did, she did out of grief, out of despair and out of a terrible loss. She is mad with grief and in her madness, she had done a deed that is cruel and reckless.
But I will ask you to show her compassion all the same.
[ ooc; curse closure! Q&A round with Sigyn and the others. If you want Sigyn, or any God in particular, simply address them in your comment. ]

I've spoken to many people, sir, who don't understand things much more than I do. If everyone isn't understanding, it isn't that they aren't listening, it's that what is being explained isn't being told very well. [Or nicely. And Alice is also seven so about half the people she's spoken to have adjusted the situation.
Although, it also says something that they expect a child to fight in a war or really understand it.]
And I am not a boy, so please do not call me one, sir.

Mr. Freyr is dead. [Which she still doesn't understand how that's even possible if he's supposed to be immortal.] That's why this whole mess with Miss Freya even happened.
But, what my question I would like answered is this: if he is dead, how is it I'm, well according to the way things work here, linked to him?
And since it seems you are willing to actually answer my questions [Of which there are thousands, Odin, be grateful she's narrowed it down to two for you.] If the giants are really very powerful as you say to the point of keeping a god trapped, [Which, was also confusing.] how is it we are supposed to stop them in this war? Unless you're suggesting we can become as powerful as you the gods? Because I have read Mr. Loki's guide about how our feelings are supposed to stop the people from being grey, but surely you understand how fighting a bunch of giants and making people stop being grey doesn't really seem to match up with one another.
[For as much knowledge as she desired it was a wonder she wasn't in Odin's house instead of Freyr's. However, her curiosity and imagination was by far a bigger factor for Alice.]

Did you see Loki's post that told the story of Yggdrasil's creation?

Inhale. Exhale. ]
The answer to all of your questions [ all of them, he hopes, but it's not bloody likely. ] can be found in this. Listen closely, because I don't want to have to repeat it.
If you read Loki's guide, then you already know that Yggdrasil is the world above all other worlds. To understand anything, you have to accept this as fact. Yggdrasil grew from the void to mother all things, and in this, she is the Mother above all, Creation at its core. She is magic, and magic spilled forth from her heart to create land and sea, life and time. And from her, every one of us was borne.
The Giants came first. Surt of Flame and then Thiazi of the Frost grew from fragments in the land as magic continued to swell up to the surface. The Gods - us - came second from the fragments of her spirit and her life. All else came after, all Elves and Dwarves and Men and others, from the shards of magic that rained from the skies.
We were borne of magic in its purest form. We came from the Mother, and so we are tied to her. You are still bound to Freyr's soul because Freyr's soul still exists within this realm, as he will always exist in its essence. When we die, we return to her as we were created.
Because we were always meant to die. You've read, too, of the war between the Giants and the Gods. Ragnarok was prophesied at the start of everything, for the Mother knew her children could not coexist forever and that the split would grow to consume Creation. We were told we would all die, to return to Yggdrasil's core, where Thiazi as the last living being would go to give her own life to freeze Yggdrasil's heart and preserve the Mother's magic, so that it might be reborn and bring into existence new life once more.
But time is not a concrete being. Time is a concept, one that warps and shapes itself as it will, and after long, Mother came to speak again. She spoke of healing, the possibility of a cure for the split. But with healing comes sickness, and from this came the Grey. It was not an attack from the Giants. It was not our own mistakes. It is an anomaly, sprung forth from aberration, that took hold of the land and refused to let go.
It is in this that the two wars are one in the same. The Giants are prideful creatures, and were assured their victory in Ragnarok from the beginning. They do not accept an alternative; they want their war, one that they will win at the cost of their own lives. We want peace. We want to save Creation. We want to stave off Ragnarok so that the worlds might continue on as they have.
And still yet, there is a third - for Thiazi has deviated from the Giants' true course. She does not want to give her life to preserve Yggdrasil. She aims to steal our souls - and in this, our magic - to preserve her life force, so that she might reign supreme when the world tree grows again.
[ Long-winded, and that's not even the entire story. She can find the other post if she wants the rest of it. ]
This is how the war is now. It is not fought on a battlefield, nor with weapons or magic. It is not strength or Gods or Giants - it is everything. It is all around us, and it is inescapable. We are all pieces on this chess board, and we all have our roles to play. You are here to win this war, and that means fighting off the Grey Sickness, defeating the Giants, living. If we keep the magic alive, we will win. And that's why we need you.
So then it wasn't meant to be a battle battle. So then... she could be involved in this war. Had to be, in fact. But she could help with the sickness, certainly. And she had the ability to be very emotional... about many things if not everything.
Alice waited and held back any question she had while Odin spoke, quite the feat for the seven year old.
A game of chess hmm? Alice was very good at chess. She was skilled for her age, her father would say, and could only improve with time. On one side was the giants, the other her and the gods and everyone else.
So the real question was who was the better tactician?
But something didn't make sense, well many things didn't, but something stood out to her. If Thiazi was supposed to be the last living creature after everything died and then sacrifice her life to be reborn, but didn't want to sacrifice herself and instead was trying to absorb everyone else... then wouldn't she eventually die too because she refused to revive the world? She was just prolonging her death at this rate.
Curiouser and curiouser...
Alice pulled away from her thoughts and gazed at Odin, not really sure what to say at the moment except-]
Thank you very much, sir, for explaining all of this and well, everything. [Or most everything. She kept a hand pressed to her chin in thought.] I do mean it, the thank you that is. [She just didn't know what else what to say. She could only hope he couldn't read minds or else he might get a headache from her thoughts.]
But... if I may so, this is far more informative to say to people when they arrive then Mr. Loki's guide.
Yes, well. Loki's told both versions and put both out there for all to see. He speaks to his audience.
[ sad, that the seven year old makes for the more intelligent in the crowd. Odin might just grow to like you, Alice. ]
Although, I'm sure people will still have questions, but they can't very well be blamed about that... just... what questions they ask when they haven't all the information.
