You see, the human body builds up natural defences against illnesses that it recognises, so something new eventually has less effect the longer it sticks around. So, if an illness ends up disappearing, the body has no need for that natural defence anymore. But then if it comes back... There's not much to be done about it, unless you still have the knowledge of how to fight it through science.

Well. Where to begin. Outer space, for starters. Blackness as far as the eye can see, but with specks of dust that reflect light in all the colours of the rainbow, and shine of far off stars. Like the night sky, except you're right. In. The middle.
