[That grin widens a little, a beat for him to decide how to answer that.]

Yes, during St. Valentine's Day, or well, we thinks that's what it was for mind you we can't be sure since the calendar is so strange here, but it rained candy hearts with the most curious little sayings on them!

Candy from the skies. I don't like those though. Too powdery and taste terrible. Awful things. Chocolates would have been better. They would have melted though.

[And he may have just missed Alice's point accidentally or not.]

That isn't really the point. The little writing made you did things if you broke or ate the heart. I don't know why anyone would want to eat candy from the floor, however.
