[Here's a face some have seen before. Given a technical device, could it be in doubt that he wouldn't turn it on almost immediately? Of course not. He's got to see how it works, what it can do. Instructions? HA! Half Time Lord. Instructions are for lesser beings! This is probably why the first shot turns into a three hundred and sixty degree shot of everything no one wants to see (such as Theta's purple trainers and the zip of his Nine-ish leather jacket). Yeah. Those instructions were probably made for a person like him.]
[Good thing that at least Loki's guide plays automatically. Weird. Should it be recording if it were being turned on for the first time?]
There are pink clouds around the 'hooray'.
[This is said in the same tone one might say 'There was a horrible accident down the street with body parts everywhere'.]
By Loki? That's my god! Brilliant! Torchwood could use one of these. I think I know a Loki. There was alcohol involved. Can't remember much after that.
[The camera finally spins back to his face. There's a better than average chance Theta knows exactly what he's doing with his false bumbling about with the thing.]
Hello Asgard! If you see someone like me, tell him that Theta Sigma is looking for him! The look on his face will be worth it. Unless he's listening. If he is, hello Doctor! It's been two months! What have you blown up? Hello everyone else! It's good to meet you! That grey really is horrid, isn't it?
[It would appear this was not a decaf coffee morning before arrival.]

video;
I thought it was an interesting way of saying that I am unique!
[A flash of a grin that isn't entirely felt but tried for.]
What are you doing here, Rose Tyler?
[Be rude (ruder than usual) to leap right into 'what part of time are you from', wouldn't it?]
video;
Unique is right.
[Oh, questions. Um.]
Bit of a broad question... Living, I s'pose. Pestering th'Doctor an' his new companions.
[They're all, really, quite interesting, at the very least.]
video;
[What could he be but a new thing, the only one of his kind considering who he came from?]
New Companions? He rounding up new ones or ones that came after?
[Despite the smile he wears, Theta is intently watching her. When he had been part of Ten, she had been - well, many things. Where was her place now that Ten had become Eleven, a new man for all intents and purposes?]
video;
[Yes. Well. Companions. She liked them well enough. Really, they were all awfully nice.]
Um... Ones that came after? A few of 'em are here. There's Rory... His wife, Amy- she's .. left, recently. Oswin, River... I think that's it, for now. Oh- The TARDIS is here, too.
[She doesn't comment on much else besides that. He tries, of course, to include her. And he does! That silly Eleventh Doctor. But like he'd not quite admitted; it was easier to leave her with her Doctor, who'd been here before. And as she had stated, he'd moved on. It was ... an odd sort of relationship.]
video;
That's quite a family! [Cheerful words, but he's wondering what's below it that has the Doctor looking off. A family spat? The one who 'left'? And what does that mean? The urge to ask is quelled for now. Too many people could be listening right now.] The coat did look better than the tweed and bowtie, didn't it? I'm not just imagining that, am I?
And now I'm here. For once you know the place before I do!
video; sob sorry im late
[The answer is pleasant and automatic. Honest, too. Not that she doesn't like the tweed and bowtie. It quite becomes this new face of his. But ... You know. You always get favourites.]
Yeah, I might this time. Been here a while now. Few months, I think. Beat Doctor John Watson in a marksmanship duel, too.
[Little brags. Easier to lose yourself in simple things, little things to gush about, like meeting someone famous, exchanging deets about historical or fictional figures. Rather than dwelling on the more important bits.]
video; no worries! You've been busy.
[Favourites probably isn't the best subject. Theta tends to be biased.]
Did you?
[He doesn't mention that he heard Rose had promise in that area.]
Was it even close?
[Out of sight, his thumbs rub gently on the outside of the bracelet. Rose, a Rose again. One that doesn't look at him with useless pity or worse things.]
video;
Bit close. T'be honest, I think it was more luck of the shot than actual skill.
[Though she'll gladly lord it over the other doctor's head for all it's good and worth.]
Where're you at right now, anyway? Still in the main building?
[Pity can come later. If at all. There are a time for things, a reason for things ... And right about now, Rose has nor needs either.]
video;
I don't know about that. I've heard you were more than a fair shot.
[Especially with a huge gun.]
Standing on the step outside it. Looking about right now. I've got a map!
[Not that he'll ever read that map. Time Lords, or rather, half-Time Lords and their hangups. And pity would hurt something if he saw it in Rose's eyes. He's keeping what happened a secret for a reason.]
Was I supposed to be somewhere else?
video;
Oh, where'd you hear that?
[A chuckle for the mention of the map. Fat lot of good that would do him. Even she could guess he'd never look at it twice. Maybe, if they were lucky. ... Then again, he might. This was Theta, not-- Anyway.]
No! No, just wonderin'. I could .. come show you around. If you want?
video;
Here or there. Somewhere. I forget where.
[Maps spoiled the fun! They told where everything was. Where was the fun in exploring if someone had a map?]
I would like that! Is there a good fish and chip stand around? I would love some of those. You coming to me or me to you?
video;
[She'll take that for what it is, for now. But otherwise, she's already up and on her way, only slightly bad at pretending she isn't a little excited.]
I'll come there- M'already in there area. [Well, close enough.] There's a good one in [insert bullshit location] we could check out. Haven't been in a while.
video;
I'll be waiting then! Oh, what's this red thing?
[If someone hasn't already gone over everything around in his general area like a bored cat, that will be soon remedied.]
video;
[Should she be worried? Possibly. Nervous? Yep. But vaguely panicked that he found something important- like a big red button that should never ever be pushed? Well...]
video;
[Rose might want to hurry it up. Theta alone was never a good thing when there were so many interesting things to pick up and examine. More than a few might find their way into his pockets.]
I hear there's a circus in Hel that needs visited! That should be fun. Then there's the flea circus. We need to find pieces for that, Rose Tyler. Gwaine is going to help us. Lancelot could too. The Doctor will when he gets over being sick. I've never been sick. It looks horrible. Oh look! A green one!
video > action;
Just make sure whatever it is you nab doesn't actually belong t'someone? People can get picky 'round here.
[And yes. True to her word, just a few moments later, she'll be bustling into the area, hair whisked up in a pony- it's been getting a bit long again, and her leather jacket forgone for a more laid back hoodie of the same shade. She looks like she'd been out for a run, actually.]
action;
[Theta smiles brightly at the sight of her, bustling over like the Doctor catching sight of a shiny object. Or Rose Tyler.]
Rose Tyler! What? I wouldn't take something that doesn't belong to me!
[He tries for a scandalised look that gets lost and ends up as more 'thoughtful' or 'considering morals and ethics' instead.]
Unless I really needed it. Then I might. [Oh wait, Rose!] Fancy meeting you here! You did get here awfully quick. Didn't interrupt you, did I? [Pause. Breath. Rose may actually get a word in edgewise now.]
perma-action;
That and she's fairly sure anything he ever wears would have bigger-on-the-inside pockets, if he could manage it. No exception here. So yes, she's probably going to be wondering about that later. Just what did he swipe?]
Is that a trick question?
[One he amends, despite the sneaking beam of a grin on her face. Doesn't matter what the circumstances are ... It's good to see him. He remembers everything- and it's the face she's most familiar with and, even reminding herself that this is Theta, not the Doctor, isn't that hard. For now.]
Don't worry about me- just out for a run when you showed up.
[And yes, she's hovering much closer now that she can actually see him, can be in his presence. Almost as if she's resisting the urge to stand on her toes, to wrap around him in a hug or something. He's cheeky in a familiar way and gods did she miss it.]
no subject
Rose!
[Huff. Stare. Recover dignity.]
[He doesn't seem to mind the hovering, only that he keeps her in sight. Beneath the good cheer there's a watchfulness as if he were waiting for something.]
Rose Tyler, I came a very long way, and I don't even got a hug?
[It's a standard rule somewhere. Tens and Nines (or their pieces) must hug Rose Tylers, Donna Nobles and Marthas whenever possible. Sorry.]
How have you been? [As if he hadn't seen his Rose just a few hours ago]
no subject
'Course you do.
[And when she pulls back, it's hesitant, like she doesn't want to just yet. Nor does she really stand back and give him space. Their space is shared. At least for now.]
Y'know.. Busy.
no subject
[Hear the doubt in his voice even as he gets in a good hug, leaning down a little to not make her strain so. If and when he meets Eleven, Theta will be most pleased that he's an inch taller. About a stone or so lighter, but at least he has height on the Doctor still.]
[He lets go when she does, not keeping her with him any longer than she wishes. This game has always been Rose's to play where he's concerned.]
That's it? Busy?
[There's a frown that follows and a curiosity on emotion in his eyes that Ten didn't have. Ten could bounce on with the best of things, missing or ignoring the emotional side.]
What? Not happy to see me? What's wrong?
no subject
She'd grown used to all sorts of new reactions to emotion, experience, stories- from having spent time with the Doctor's new face. If Theta were to be another learning curve... Well, in all honest, Rose would stubbornly say to bring it on. Still, the worry prompts a smirk to her lips. Talking about the multitude of things that had happened since her arriving here? Not really something she wants to jump into just yet.
And yes, he's getting a little pinch for that question of his. Was she not happy to see him... Bah.]
Bigger question, is what've you been up to? Leather get-up?
[No, that was not anything near a suggestive quirk of her brow. At all.]
