This is probably why the first shot turns into a three hundred and sixty degree shot of everything no one wants to see (such as Theta's purple trainers and the zip of his Nine-ish leather jacket). Yeah. Those instructions were probably made for a person like him.]

[Good thing that at least Loki's guide plays automatically. Weird. Should it be recording if it were being turned on for the first time?]

[This is said in the same tone one might say 'There was a horrible accident down the street with body parts everywhere'.]

[The camera finally spins back to his face. There's a better than average chance Theta knows exactly what he's doing with his false bumbling about with the thing.]

I read about that! Sounds like it'll be a wonderful time! I can't wait to start looking around.

See, there's a good spirit to come into things with. When your choices seem to be to look for the best or resign yourself to misery in the beginning.

Why would I do something like that? It's an adventure! Places to go, things to see and people to help! I wonder if they have a flea market around here. Let me check that map. Those are the best places to go to.

I'm sure we've a fine mix of fleas and markets waiting to be found. Suppose it's only logical to assume they come hand-in-hand anyway, eh? [ There is simply no catching up completely to future terminologies. Like trying to save a sinking ship with a thimble. ]

There was this one market I went to where there were tiny little swingsets and balls the fleas would run about on. Children loved it.

[ Says the guy who is actually kind of hoping that's all completely legit. Tiny flea swings. What more could even be said to explain why that story is great? ]

I am! I've seen them in a few places, but this one was the best. They called it a flea circus. I even saw one with mice. These little mice would run around the ring on balls or dancing on squares. You've never seen anything like that?

[This was Centari Gamma, but who is Theta to spoil a good story by pointing out that it wasn't on Earth? That and the 'mice' were about the size of housecats.]

I haven't. Something my life has been sorely lacking this far, it seems.

I wonder if one of those here would help those grey people. It always made lots of people laugh and clap when I saw them.

[Someone would have to go out and catch those flea. Or mice.]

I happen to be a firm believer in the notion that a man can't say what won't work until he's seen it tried. [ Applicable in many different situations. Battles, imprisonment, insanely dangerous quests. Flea circuses. Why not? ]

If nothing else, it usually leads into an interesting way to spend a few hours.

Most likely a few days. How many fleas do you think you can catch a day? We'll need thousands to audition. It'll be amazing!

Sorry, forgot to introduce myself. Sir Gwaine, knight of Camelot. At your service. Can't say I've ever had a try at catching fleas before, though. Suppose I ought to take to feeding a dog and collecting from him. [ Half-joking, half... seriously considering that for a wily plan. ]

That's a brilliant idea! Maybe you should adopt a pack of them. Could get a lot of them then. Or get some help.

Easy to mistake, I'm sure. [ This Theta Sigma fellow is pretty much completely mad, he's figuring. But not in a particularly bad way. ]

Get the word out properly and we might have an army of volunteers looking to do their part to help.

Are there other knights about? We could get them to help.

[Yes, Theta's subtle plan: take over the knights and send them to find a shrubbery.]

Quite a few of us, actually. You might have to do the majority of the convincing, though. [ It's like they know better than to follow him blindly into mundane shenanigans such as flea-catching. ]

I can do that. I'm very good at things of that sort.

[After the nightmares, Theta will indeed be setting up a flea circus. He'll have knights and whoever else he can ~~con~~ convince to help him. This is a plan that cannot fail.]
