1st Lunar Phase ( Video )
[Greetings, Asgard. Are you ready for this devastatingly beautiful vampire? Well, he's looking fairly haggard at the moment, actually, now that he's apparently capable of - and in dire need of - resting like a human, among other things. It's clearly difficult for him to think through the exhaustion from the way he's concentrating so intently on the letter in his hands, reading it for the umpteenth time while still barely absorbing any of what's written on it. He begins to mutter to himself, the words coming out more quickly than what might be deemed normal.]
Why would any god choose me... How can I... They can't possibly ensure my happiness. They couldn't... They wouldn't. But no, that's not at all what I-
[The bracelet catches his eye and he leans in closer to inspect it, trying to recall its purpose when he's startled to realize it's on, relief that his monologue was interrupted before he said too much washing over his features before he schools them.]
I'm sorry about this, if anyone's out there watching - I've just...arrived. [That should explain his new-found technical incompetence, if nothing else. He hesitates for a long moment before seeming to lose an argument with himself, continuing on as if certain that someone were watching.]
I'm loathe to ask for such a large favor right off the bat, but given the circumstances, would anyone be willing to escort me to - [It takes a few seconds to locate the right paper.] - Freya House? I'm told I have a room there and I'm...not myself at the moment, I'm not sure I'd find it before nightfall.
[a.k.a. "Please help me before I collapse in the middle of the street." He seems to think better of something.]
I would find some way to repay you at a later date, of course.

awww yis ♥
And damnit, the bandages around her arm were as cleanly put as Carlisle had ever done- she trusted him more than any other doctor she'd met in her life. And that was saying something- she'd bailed many a time and needed more than a few clinic-visits in the past ten years alone.]
No, I'm not. Carlisle fixed it before I got here, it's just a scratch.
[Because really, she's more focused on him and his ... fail, right now. Which is why her hands are finding the sides of his face; hesitant at first, but enough to hopefully get a look at him.]
You look exhausted. What happened?
hehe
A scratch. [He lets out a harsh laugh, not buying it. He knows better. He was there. And she's always more focused on him, on everyone but herself, which is part of why he worries about her so much. Worries enough for the both of them and then some. He ghosts his fingers along the bandage, expression going blank...]
[His eyes widen as the realization hits him like a shitton of bricks.] Exhaustion. [He hadn't realized until she'd said it... Hadn't experienced it firsthand in over 80 years... He mirrors her, holding her face in his hands.] Bella, I'm exhausted! I'm...exhausted. Does that mean I'm... But that's... Impossible... [And he's lost in thought.]
no subject
A scratch.
[She's not going to argue this point, damnit. It is just a scratch. Get over it. --And she nearly starts as he grabs her face right back, excited and nervous and a myriad of other emotions she doesn't normally get to see on his face. Exhaustion. Which was weird for a vampire, but if they were thirsty, wasn't that sort of the same thing?]
W-What, what is it? [She'll clock on soon. It's just .. Different, but not different enough for her to notice just yet.]
no subject
He continues his broken musing aloud as if he hadn't heard her, all the while studying her face intently, breathing in deeply...]
No, that's not it... You still smell good. Too good. But not as-strongly, as you usually do...
no subject
But Bella is still fifty shades of confused at this point, despite how she's trying to keep up. To .. figure out just what he's meaning.]
Are you- Is something dampening it, maybe?
[It's a hesitant question, her own head tilting slightly- her hair didn't even smell like shampoo anymore.]
no subject
I can't believe you went thereMulls that possibility over, tucking some of her hair behind her ear.]Maybe. I can't be sure... [He'll have to dedicate some time to inventory to see if things add up, or don't. When he's up to it.
Switching gears.] What house are you in?
no subject
Water u talking about of course I did.]Well-- [Omg Edward stop being difficult and fill her in.]
Um. Sigyn. Opposite side. [She glances back to the other end of the building; her exit was over there.]
no subject
so punnyNo point in trying to now. She might not be concerned with the details for much longer.
Opposite side. How appropriate. He sighs softly, only to swallow roughly in order to steel himself to release her, stepping back out of her hold, even though he still has a need for it, still wants it desperately...] I need to go. Rest for a bit. [Such an alien concept. He makes no further move to leave, however, waiting for her response.]
no subject
Okay... Where do you wanna go?
[Because she would prefer it if, wherever he chose, she could linger nearby. Keep an eye on him. She will play mother hen, alright.
no subject
I suppose I should go to my room. Someone is coming here to show me the way. [At least he hopes so, so she doesn't need to worry about him being on his own.]
no subject
Yeah, you um. You should rest. [However .. weird.] I didn't think vampires needed to sleep. Like, ever.
no subject
It seems things are different here. Powers have been taken away by the gods...while others have been given. [Looking her over, as if he could spot the power she must have been given.]
