Well, he's looking fairly haggard at the moment, actually, now that he's apparently capable of - and in dire need of - resting like a human, among other things. It's clearly difficult for him to think through the exhaustion from the way he's concentrating so intently on the letter in his hands, reading it for the umpteenth time while still barely absorbing any of what's written on it. He begins to mutter to himself, the words coming out more quickly than what might be deemed normal.]

[The bracelet catches his eye and he leans in closer to inspect it, trying to recall its purpose when he's startled to realize it's on, relief that his monologue was interrupted before he said too much washing over his features before he schools them.]

I'm sorry about this, if anyone's out there watching - I've just...arrived. [That should explain his new-found technical incompetence, if nothing else. He hesitates for a long moment before seeming to lose an argument with himself, continuing on as if certain that someone were watching.]

I'm loathe to ask for such a large favor right off the bat, but given the circumstances, would anyone be willing to escort me to - [It takes a few seconds to locate the right paper.] - Freya House? I'm told I have a room there and I'm...not myself at the moment, I'm not sure I'd find it before nightfall.

[...Haggard is one thing. It's another to see him in a light, in a way that she's never seen him before. It's worrying. What did he mean 'not myself'? And since when would he ever need some sort of escort? It wasn't any sort of sunny day out, so it couldn't have been that.

But she's had enough panic of her own for two days, having seen not one person she truly recognized. So seeing Edward... She could have sworn her heart stopped at the mere sound of his voice. She would have taken any of the Cullens, her dad, Jacob, hell. Even one of her teachers. Someone to make her not feel like she was really and truly kidnapped. On her own. And being useless for it, to boot.

It's only a minute or two before she manages to get off her default setting of text, and flick the video response on. She doesn't look as healthy as a spring chicken, but she most definitely looks ten times better than he.]

[He perks up immediately upon hearing her voice, looking around wildly for the source. Is he going insane? Is that what's happening? It feels so real... And then suddenly she's there, projected in front of him in muted color, and a hand flies to his chest, as if he'd been startled by a ghost.

Bella! Bella, where are you? Are you hurt? [Hurt. Her injury from the party...or had that been a dream - no, a nightmare? No, this has to be the nightmare, this sorry state he's found himself in... His gaze grows distant with his confusion, focus drifting...]
