001 Video ┼ First Conquest

[Some of you may have seen this large, bearded red head around Asgard recently. He looks fairly thoughtful as he addresses his bracelet for what turns out to be the first time to make a post of his own. Rider has been talking to a few people, Equius among them, who have pointed out their part in this ongoing war.

And Rider has been thinking about it. Which is either a very good thing, or a very bad thing.]

I have been discussing this matter with a few others, but we all seem to be at an impasse. So I have come to you, the general populace, for an answer to this question.

Where would we be able to acquire a number of horses?

Now, that is a good question. One that my legs wish I could answer from walking every gorram where.

[Of course, he's also hoping that someone figures it out. Raising and selling horses? That's easy work for someone who grew up on a ranch.]

They don't seem to be easy to come by here, by any means. But if we are going to be waging a war, they are essential.

I do suppose that would make things bit easier for folks on the front lines, yes.

Yes, it would. This is what I am most familiar with, so even without my other powers, I can still serve in my capacity as a leader of the battlefield.

Leader on the battlefield? Well, sounds like you won't be plagued by fits of boredom here, then.

Haha, no indeed! This realm has seen fit to provide me with ample opportunity to exercise my skills!

And what of you? Do you have any particular skills that would be of use to this war?

[The last thing he wants is to get drafted into some war. The last one he was in didn't go so well for him.

But there is something... something that keeps his crew a safe distance from it.]

Not that helps much here, at least until we can at least get some wagons running. My specialty's transport.

I see. And for that, you would also need horsepower. It's doubly important then, that we find some beasts of burden!

Probably best we don't send them all off to their dooms, then. Might wanna keep a few for breeding. That I do have some experience with.

Because there are very few problems I cannot solve with the proper application of a horse-mounted cavalry, of course!

I would disagree about them being unfriendly! It all depends on their temperament and on how they're trained!

To form a cavalry, of course!

I hear we get attacked from time to time here. It would behoove us to be prepared!

If we train our riders and use our cavalry properly, then there's no reason they shouldn't stand!

[ hmm ] You may be able to find some in other cities, but you wouldn't be able to get enough for an army.

However many we get will help!

If you're sure you can train people. But there's probably someone who would know how to ride them already.

Of course I can! And if any know how to ride already, I shall happily ride with them!
