[Well, Diva's morning has been interesting. Coming back from the dead into a monochromatic castle was definitely not one of the things that she wanted to experience. Nor was trying to figure out what the hell this bracelet was supposed to do, but she manages. Somehow.]

[Unfortunately, it's at a rather inopportune time. The video is showing a rather odd angle, but it rotates on the wearer's wrist to show one of the locals lying on the ground.]

Oh? It turned on?

[The video shows a young woman's face instead, with a dribble of blood coming from the corner of her mouth.]

That's how this is supposed to work? That's stupid. [She frowns in annoyance, but then looks thoughtful instead] Ah~ Actually, maybe I can ask! The people here, they're disgusting. They don't taste right at all.

[sigh! her life is so difficult, can't you see.] Hey, are there any normal humans here? I need to get something to eat, but these aren't worth anything at all.

[She looks off screen, and there's a dull thud, like she just kicked the person laying on the ground. But with that, she gives the "camera" an absolutely brilliant smile, then it cuts out.]

Then why eat the people?

Because that's food. I need them to live, of course. It's not as if I'm going to starve to death.

[parasiteye]

Well of course! That'd be stupid. But what I'm askin' here is if you're a demon or somethin' even less pleasant.

[madamemoiselle]

Oh, a demon? [She tilts her head lightly as she considers it] Mm, no, I don't think so. I mean, people have called me that before, but I don't think it's actually true.

I'm a Chiropteran. A lot of people call us vampires, but I think we're kind of different from that too.

[parasiteye]

How're you different from one of those things?

[madamemoiselle]

That's a secret. [Her voice lowers to a dangerous, almost seductive tone] I don't want to ruin the surprise.

[parasiteye]

[ A tone he just absolutely loves, but doesn't trust in the least--although it's a relief to hear she's not a demon of any kind. He'll label her as "vampire" for now. ]

Yeah? Think you might have left a couple of calling cards on the ground right there.

[madamemoiselle]

Well, that much is fine. They didn't even really care that they were dying, and it doesn't seem like any of the other things care either. [She shrugs] I mean, they're not people, are they?

[parasiteye]

Beats me. They're kinda bland but they still do stuff.

[madamemoiselle]

Really bland. But that's why I asked if anyone wouldn't mind letting me drink their blood instead! Of course no one volunteered, but... [She shrugs] Well, I guess I'll just have to find them myself.

[parasiteye]

Do you really wonder why?? I mean come on--those guys are kinda, you know. Dead.

[madamemoiselle]

Oh! I see what you mean. [She laughs airily] Oh well! I'll just have to find someone myself.

[parasiteye]

Hey! Do me a favour--if you find anyone tasty, save me a bit.

[madamemoiselle]

[Her tone changes completely, back to that lower and calmer tone. She's definitely interested now.]

Oh, really? Then since you asked me, can I ask what you are too?

[parasiteye]

Let's go with "hungry" for now. Anyone can look at these conversations when it's done over the bracelets.

[madamemoiselle]

[She bites her lip just slightly, but Diva is still smiling.] Oh, I guess that's true... Being cautious is never something I've been good at. Having to stop myself from having fun, I don't like that.

[parasiteye]

It sucks yeah, but it's a pain if everything starts coming after you because you're careless.

[madamemoiselle]

Ah, do you think people would really come after me, though? I mean, some of them seem a little... self-righteous, isn't it? But they're definitely too afraid to actually do anything.

[parasiteye]

Not everyone's afraid of you, missy. [ he's actually more interested than anything :>c ]

[madamemoiselle]

[Diva pauses, but her smile portrays clearly enough how pleased she is to hear that] Like you?

[parasiteye]

It sounds like we've got similar eating habits. Aside from the broadcasting bit I mean.

[madamemoiselle]

I'm glad to hear that. [The smoothness in her voice is the hint that the sentiment is genuine, since it's right back to airy] Ah, but I didn't mean to show everyone! I didn't know how this thing worked, which I think is fair, because who would put a phone-thing in a bracelet? That's just stupid.

[parasiteye]

Eh, that's fine. You should try bein' a little more subtle though in the future. maybe take it off for meals.
