[ When the audio clicks on, there's the sound of someone breathing quite heavily on the other side - not quite out of breath, but it's certainly... there, and it's - off. He licks his lips, straightens up his shoulders and oh, this is where the act really begins. ]
Uhm, he-hello? Is- is this thing working? I don't really know if it's-
[ Say hello to Sherlock Holmes again - only this time, he's arriving with a fake personality, because that makes his life a lot easier. Especially if one considers information important, which Sherlock certainly does. There's the very obvious sound of someone having a minor panic attack in the background, and that's because Sherlock is just that good at picking up personalities and traits.
He's kept his British accent, but he's made his voice sound that much high end and posher (if that's at all possible), not to mention the fact that he's forced it up a pitch or two - honestly, he's really making a particularly good show of being nervous.
In fact, one could say that it's almost as though he's done this before. ]
I just- I wanted to say that... uhm, I'm here. And I don't understand, honestly, so if anyone could- you know, help, or something, that'd be... er, really appreciated, actually. It's just that I've been told all of this... stuff, and I don't get any of it, so can someone just-
[ Only that's not entirely true, because he's been here for a month now, and he's been watching every single one of you. But still, it's better to blend in and act like the newcomers. ]
Explain it or... yeah. Okay, um. I'm- I hope that recorded proper-
[ And so the feed suddenly stops. Your move, Asgard. ]

[ Magic is not possible. This is insane. ]
Okay. To be honest, I don't think I'll use mine. I don't really... get it.

[that's what everyone says, sherlock. which is why she doesn't answer his question]
The logical sort, then. Asgard has its own logic, just as it has its own magic.

[ WELL IT'S TRUE. ]
Well, yeah. A bit. How do you mean, though? Its own logic?

[there are more things in heaven and earth, horatio...]
I mean that it makes sense well enough in its own context. My world would obviously make little sense to you, and the opposite is also likely true.

[ don't you quote Shakespeare at me. ]
I don't understand how there's different types of logic for different places. Logic is meant to be the same everywhere. Um, isn't it?

A shapeshifter. I can--could change my body into different things, like other animals.
[lucky for you he's after her time, because that would be her favorite line for all you lovely skeptics]
Why not? Things are plainly different here. Some of us are quite changed, to accommodate. It isn't home, why should it be exactly like home? It doesn't help, getting trapped in the mire of particulars.

[ He's obviously not entire sure where to go with this conversation, and he's acting ridiculously awkward about it, too. ] What did you like to change into?
But it's not like home. It's not like my home, anyway. My home has my family and my friends, my job and- well, everything, actually. My cats, too.

It's always nice to be a bird.
Yes, that's what I said. It's not your home. So why should it be like your home? It isn't like my home, either. Things make sense in their own way, but trying to make them fit into the logic of my world is impossible.
