[ When the audio clicks on, there's the sound of someone breathing quite heavily on the other side - not quite out of breath, but it's certainly... there, and it's - off. He licks his lips, straightens up his shoulders and oh, this is where the act really begins. ]
Uhm, he-hello? Is- is this thing working? I don't really know if it's-
[ Say hello to Sherlock Holmes again - only this time, he's arriving with a fake personality, because that makes his life a lot easier. Especially if one considers information important, which Sherlock certainly does. There's the very obvious sound of someone having a minor panic attack in the background, and that's because Sherlock is just that good at picking up personalities and traits.
He's kept his British accent, but he's made his voice sound that much high end and posher (if that's at all possible), not to mention the fact that he's forced it up a pitch or two - honestly, he's really making a particularly good show of being nervous.
In fact, one could say that it's almost as though he's done this before. ]
I just- I wanted to say that... uhm, I'm here. And I don't understand, honestly, so if anyone could- you know, help, or something, that'd be... er, really appreciated, actually. It's just that I've been told all of this... stuff, and I don't get any of it, so can someone just-
[ Only that's not entirely true, because he's been here for a month now, and he's been watching every single one of you. But still, it's better to blend in and act like the newcomers. ]
Explain it or... yeah. Okay, um. I'm- I hope that recorded proper-
[ And so the feed suddenly stops. Your move, Asgard. ]

People don't really take kindly to being used like this.

I'm not using them. Being used looks entirely different. I'm collecting data.

So long as I remain anonymous, people won't find out. You're forgetting who I am, John.

And there's been another you here. Who says you're the only genius around these parts?

[ And after the fall, Sherlock isn't quite so egocentric. He's perfectly aware that there are other geniuses here - but he's not about to tell John that. Because even now, he's acting in front of him, trying not to worry him, actively working on being as much of himself as he can be.
Because he's not really himself any more, not after the things he's been forced to do, not after he watched John mourn him. ]

Fine. But I'm not covering for you if someone ends up wanting to punch you in the face. Wouldn't blame them one bit.
