So we've all seen the decorations by now, some of you maybe even enjoyed them. But what does any of it mean to you, the celebrations these decorations all symbolize? I knew a few have mentioned holidays, but they weren't this extravagant and they've lasted some time by now.

But if that question doesn't call your attention in any way, how many have a sibling waiting for you back home? More credit if it's someone you don't even get to see that often.

It doesn't mean anything to me personally, but I understand why it means something to others. The passage of time, the hopes in Lilim's hearts, happiness for it.

Lilims? Don't think I've heard of that before, but it does mean similar things where I'm from. And you could say I do, I wouldn't deny it.

Lilim are those capable of developed civilization and scientific knowledge. Humans, for example.

So there's more civilizations that would be considered 'Lilim,' and a lot of them have these celebrations? Or is this a Human-only thing?

Wolves form packs. Bees form hives. It's all a form of civilization, isn't it? Even if not as developed.

That's a pretty broad term for civilization compared to what I've heard.

Perhaps. perhaps they are still far too young to fit the term of civilization that you know.

You're suggesting they'll become a group that fits with a more traditional definition of civilization someday?

I don't know the future. I only know that there are very few earth organisms that remained always the same through the ages.

Back home, we celebrate something called "Yule". Usually around the winter solstice. I've heard others mention other special occasions, though.

You don't celebrate anything back in your world?

"Yule"? I don't think I've heard that specific term before, but solstice celebrations are popular. It honestly depended on region in my world, but I haven't done anything personally myself.

Seems like there's quite a few of them, most of them centered around the solstice.

Even if you don't celebrate anything at home, that doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy yourself here.

Yes, my mother used to go on about how symbolic it is of rebirth and life being around the corner or something. [It brings forth a bit of a chuckle thinking about it, even if there was some hints of nervousness.]

I guess there isn't any reason not to enjoy myself, is there? Would you have any suggestions for it, sir?

I don't know how others are planning to celebrate it, but I've been handing out gifts for my friends. Back in my world, I didn't have much to spare, but since I can make a living in Asgard, I thought it'd be nice.

We'd have feasts for Yultide, too.

I don't know that enough people to constitute 'friends' yet, though.
