Yeah, so I don't do this often, the posting thing, I mean, but I felt like something needed to be said.

[And he holds up his clasped hands, opening them slightly- inside them is a colorless butterfly, flapping it's wings feebly.]

Since it's pretty much a given we are going to be stuck here for a while long, possibly forever because life hates us, I've figured I ought to do something with my time about the insect population, considering winter's coming and all.

That's right, insects. Because at least these things are way more deserving of my help than humans are. So, here's the deal! I'm going to be creating one of those...what are they called, butterfly houses? And you bring me any butterflies or moths you have hanging around your place. Consider it a nice little donation to the cause, alright? And I don't know, I'll do something like not insult you for 24 hours. That's a pretty good deal, take advantage of it.

[A pause as he frowns at the camera.]

However...if you bring me any dead butterflies or moths, I'll seriously punch you in the face. They have to be alive. Don't test me, okay?

And if anyone actually knows how to create a butterfly house in the first place, that would be kind of helpful too.

What the heck is a Lilim?

Lilim are those capable of development and building a civilization.

They are most of Earth's creatures. Humans, animals, plants, microorganisms. Butterflies. Moths.

[Oh, so he wasn't that special at all. He lets out a disappointed sound.]

So I guess being called that isn't a big deal after all.

But you say "most"...what doesn't fit the requirements for being Lilim, then?

It is. More than you can think of. [ He died for the Lilim, so really. it is. ]

Angels.

Angels?

What, like the harp-strumming, fluffy wings on the back, listen to us talk about how wonder God is, angels? How come they aren't Lilim?

We do not develop, we don't form civilizations, we don't master scientific knowledge, we don't create.

Oh, wait, you're an angel?

How come you don't do those things? Don't you have the kingdom of Heaven or something to look over?

I am. But we don't have the kingdom of Heaven to look over, no.

[ but not that kind of angel ]

It's the way we are, our nature. We are happy like this, we fulfilled that way.

[He seems to think about that for a moment.]

But you were made for a reason, right? You can't just float around being fulfilled and all. You have to be doing something with your time.

Why?

Because...it's like impossible to do nothing. When you're trying to do nothing, you're still doing something.

Don't you ever get bored?

Things weren't as plain. We didn't have the world for us. We didn't exist as whole yet. Before, we were still trying to reach that state I mentioned.

Imagine a monarch butterfly caterpillar. They haven't reached the adult stage yet, but they are still a monarch butterfly.

[Usually, using a butterfly metaphor would make Nick a bit miffed, but...it actually isn't that bad of an explanation, so he lets it slide for now.]

What does it take to make it to being a fully-fledged angel, though?

We need to join with our mother, Adam, the first Angel. Only then we would become a whole.
