005 || Accidental Video, then text

[A video footage will begin to record, revealing a small pair of teeth chewing onto the screen, from the angle it was clear to take note that a white pup or fox might be behind it. At one point, the teeth will disappear to reveal a curious baby fox staring back at the screen, wondering on the reason behind his papa throwing out such a great toy. It will not be long until another pair of paws will pounce onto the bracelet, the screen goes black due to it. Yet, the video does not seize from recording, on the contrary, there will be noises on the background as two foxes argue over keeping the toy for themselves or returning the item to their father.

After a while, the bracelet will be thrown further from them, in the background the foxes were still arguing and play fighting, but there was something new on the sceen -- a man's figure sitting on the ground, their arms wrapped around their knees, as the figure uses the corner as a wall to keep himself from falling onto the ground. At first, it will be difficult to tell who the man was due to the dim lights, but it was clear it was Soushi on the screen. While the twin foxes fought in the background, Soushi will not move an inch and the video will continue to record him until Rem, the more responsible fox kit, grabs the bracelet and hurriedly returns it to him with Rom, the one from the beginning, begrudgedly following after his brother. Rem will place the bracelet next to Soushi before he places his front paws onto his knee and begins to bark (whoever can undestand fox speak would know).]

(Papa! Please. Put it back on.)

[Soushi will not show any sign of movement until Rem barks even loudly, with more energy.]

(FATHER!)

[The bark will grab his attention as he moves his attention to the tiny creature, then he will notice the bracelet as Rom uses his nose to return the item to his dad. The older man will take hold of the bracelet, but without even thinking about it, he will toss the item at the other side of the room, filled with anger. The bracelet will hit the wall and ground, and moments later Rem will grab the bracelet and quickly return it to his father for the second time. Rom will try to shake for his attention. Again, Soushi will grab the bracelet and throw it even harder and further away. One would ask from being thrown, if he will ever notice the bracelet was on, but it didn't seem like it. And for the third time, one of the fox twins will grab the bracelet and return it to Soushi, but this time both foxes will bark and whine.]

(Papa. The bracelet is on! Speak.)

[At the realization of the bracelet recording, Soushi will reach for it and give it a glance as he realized that it was on, but he did not show sign of surprise or even emotion. His gaze was darkened, lack of emotion; even though, his eyes are clearly red, he must have cried. It will not be long until the screen will blackened, only for everyone in the network to receive the following message soon after:]

Ririchiyo Shirakiin has returned home. She is no longer within Asgard's borders. I apologize for not have had the chance to inform those whom were her acquaintance beforehand. Everything came as a surprise, even for myself. I am sorry.

[And with that, he turns off the feed without another word.]

Well, that explains Soushi's state. A very clear physical representation of the state loss tends to leave you in. People just don't always do it the physical way like that. ]

It's rare to expect when someone's going to disappear.

[It was difficult to under the reason behind Soushi answering the Doctor as soon as he spoke. Not only speak with him, but allow it to be video when he is desperately trying to hide from others. Maybe his mood has more or less to do with it. He really wanted to grab the bracelet and throw it, but he was too tired to do so because the kits will easily return it to him.

The bracelet will not be on his arm, but beside him. He will try his best to keep his head pressed onto the wall as he remain in the corner the way he did. It would seem as thought he is waiting to be turned into a grey native at this rate.]

...you... [A light sigh will escape his lips before turning his attention towards the doctor with a weak (even forced) smile.] No. There is no need to waste your words upon someone as myself, Time Lord-sama. Her disappearance is my retribution for being of no use during the war. If I better behave, then...maybe the patrons will allow her to return... [There. He, more or less, spoke his mind towards the other. It was clear he felt guilt and even shame for his earlier behavior over the situation when she had gone missing.]

[ The Doctor sighs, and shakes his head. ]

Don't pull that on me again. I'll use my words however I want to. What better way to use them than trying to offer some support? What kind of man would I be if I didn't do that?

[ A bit of a pause, but he doesn't really wait for Soushi to reply and moves on to a much more important subject. ]

People come and go in life, Soushi. Sometimes they leave, sometimes you leave them, sometimes none of you have any way to control it... and sometimes they die. You're incredibly lucky if you find someone who stays through your whole life; if you live that long, often not even family is by your side through all of it.

So, with that settled, let's talk facts.

Fact number one: Ririchiyo is gone from this world. Fact number two: she's not dead. Fact number three: she might come back. Fact number four: she might not.

Fact number five - and this is the best one: you're not alone.

[At the question of him asking "What kind of man would I be if I didn't do that?" will get an instant answer out of him.]

[Sorry, Doctor, Soushi couldn't help say it. It was a question one should never ask in his precense (being a gag character and all).]

[Now at the rest of his words, he will listen to the other thoughtfully because it was all he could do. Soushi did not have to think about it because he understood the uselessness of family. He wanted nothing to do with the Miketsukami clan. Then the memories of those he manipulated, used, and even destroyed their lives before abandoning them returned to his mind as he begins to wonder if karma was at work through all this. But right now, he knew he shouldn't really ponder over such facts instead his gaze will turn to the other as he finally asks:]

...do you speak from personal experience, Time Lord-sama? About how people come and go in life?

[Because it really did sound like he might be. If not, then he was not entirely surprised due to the other's age and occupation. He must have witness much throughout his many lifetimes.

Then at listening to the facts over the matter, Soushi will simply wrap his arms around his legs as he brings it closer to him on the ground. He doesn't like those facts. He hates them. Well, until he heard the last fact, which will get his gaze to return to the bracelet. Not alone? He was completely alone. At least, he couldn't help himself think of it as such. After all, only an Atavist can understand another Atavist because they all shares the same circumstances and truly understood each other's pain.]

...I'm entirely alone. Without Ririchiyo-sama, I am nothing. My existance has no worth without her. She is the only one whom I was able to... [His cheeks will turn a bit red as he thought about it. This felt embarrassing to admit.] live and spend time with, peacefully. An experience I never once believed I would have the chance to enjoy. Only Ririchiyo-sama can make me feel the way I do. Only she can move my heart, and has done so many times when no one else has been able to. [He thought to himself even more.] ...she is everything to me, Time Lord-sama. My reason to exist. How does one continue to live on once your reason to exist is gone?

[ He can ask about "Super S" later. ]

Of course I speak from experience. Can't live for 900 years without losing people.

[ So, so many people, and he remembers every single one. A lot of them are somewhere far back in his mind, but he can bring them back out if he wants to. ]

Every person makes you feel different things. But she's not gone, not completely. Fact number three, again: she might come back. Do you really want her to come back to you in this state, then?

What I meant is, she's not the only one here who cared about you. See how many people have already tried talking to you. They care, they want to support you and stay by your side. They're not Ririchiyo, of course they're not, no one can ever replace someone else. But they're here now. You're only as alone as you choose to be.

[At the thought of the Doctor having lived for so long and with his memories, he can't help wonder if the number was high or low, but he will not question him about it. He will not pry. After all, the Doctor's explanation over other people having the ability to make him feel differently will get a frown out of him. Did he gain different emotions from others? Did he? The only people that made him feel anything would be Berry-san, Ange, Charles, and the Doctor. Everyone else made him feel nothing differently, they have never once moved his heart. There will be silence at Soushi's part as he mulled over the information into his mind. Soushi could easily poke holes (or try to) to the Doctor's theory, but he was not in such a foul mood to do so. Instead he is going to bury his face onto his knees as he tries to support himself. He hates feeling like this. He hated the thought of allowing someone else to see him like this. He was getting mad, mostly at himself.]

...being alone, it is nothing unusual to the way I used to live. Due to my current position and circumstance back in my world, I have always been alone. There is nothing different from the way I used to live, before meeting my master, to now. [Releasing his grip on his knees, he will continue to sit the way he has except stretching his legs from its current position. His gaze will be on the Doctor as he smirks.] ...the only difference from this moment is -- I have finally obtained the freedom I have so desired. Even so, it is not the type of freedom I have fought for ever since I was a child. [....] I want more. I desire complete freedom from this domain. [It would seem he was slowly reverting to his old ways now that Ririchiyo was gone. At such a thought, he will shake it off because he knew he could not return to the man he once was. No, because it would mean he will have to cheat and break her heart. An act he would never commit, so the smirk will quickly disappear and turn to a blank expression instead. Hmm.]

...Time Lord-sama? [The expression will remain as so.] ...I am uncertain on which path to take. How do normal individuals usally use their freedom on? Other than travelling, going to work or school, or anything else. How do normal individuals usually treat others as? How do they know a certain relationship does not feel shallow? [He will look down at the sudden realization that maybe this is what Shimon meant by...] How does one usually enjoy the outside world to one's content? Without fear? [Yup. He has lusted after freedom for so long, but now that he has (partially) obtained it he was scared of it. He was scared of the world which was easy enought to notice on his current facial expression.]

[ That makes the Doctor smile. There's obviously a lot that Soushi should work through but, he thinks, if he's asking about how to enjoy the world, he's on the right track, so they can just focus on that for now. And he dares say he's an expert on how to enjoy the world. The universe. Everything.

He's too old to do it alone, he doesn't think it's something easily done alone, but it's a little more complicated than that. ]

Do what you're afraid to do. Fear won't just disappear, you have to face it and defeat it.

When people travel with me I have a set of rules. [ Pause. ] That I bring up when the situation is right. And the seventh rule goes as follows; never run when you're afraid. Works both literally and figuratively.

So what I'm saying is... stop running. Face everything.

[ Something he's unable to do. ]

[The Doctor's words will only bring silence on Soushi's end as he simply ponders over the meaning behind his words. To face his fears, and do the opposite? The thought will only bring a smirk out of his lips along with a dark sounding chuckle. He couldn't help it. It was said to him before how being nervous and self-conscious will cause one to laugh. But, he was not laughing at the Doctor's words, instead he was laughing at the irony of his situation. It was just like the past. Will his past be repeated within this world? The thought alone will cause him to lose his current expression as he continues to ponder. What is he to do? He did not wish to face himself nor his past. Then again, the Doctor isn't exactly telling him to do this. He was just giving him advise on the best way to enjoy the world by doing do without fear. A forced smile will appear.]

Face everything? [Again, he will simply stare and continue to ponder.] ...only a human will be able to do this. A normal one. [That was all he could say because he cannot help realize he did not truly understand the meaning of being courageous. Only how to survive by manipulating, using, and acting. His whole life is mostly based on these three principals.]

Ririchiyo-sama would be able to do as you say, as well. But...I am not her. We are not alike. Unlike her, I am a pathetic and emotionless soul, who has always ran away in life. I have never once faced any true hurdles within my lifetime. All I have ever done within my life is destroy whenever someone stood in the way of my current goals. To destroy, it is all I am capable of doing. [Pause.] ...I am a terrible person. I do not understand the proper way to live or interact with others without having a reason to use them. My life is all a lie, Time Lord-sama. Only Ririchiyo-sama has the power to force me to face anything without fear because I always knew...she would not leave me. She would always remain by my side, and hold my hand. I am useless without her.

[ He just shakes his head. This apparently isn't really something he can just talk Soushi out of, so he'll just say one more thing and then leave it. ]

There are things I run from, Soushi. I've destroyed, I've lied, I've hurt people. There are some things I'll never be able to be forgiven for because the only people who could forgive me are gone. But that's not... That's not all I am. I refuse to think I'm only someone who runs and lies and destroys, I try to be something else too.

My best friends got hurt because there are those who fear me. I don't want to be someone who anyone fears, but I am. I don't blame them; I've done some horrible things. But I still try to be something else. People tell me I am more than something to fear.

Maybe you're right, maybe only humans can really face everything. But there's nothing that says the rest of us can't try.

[The other's words will hit him like a ton of bricks. His words, they reminded of the same, exact words others have shared with him before. Words he never once thought he would ever hear again. Nevertheless, the Doctor's confession will sway him, even for a bit. Maybe. Maybe he is capable of changing without his master by his side. Maybe there was a little bit of courage residing within him; courage that she might have left behind in his heart. Ririchiyo. In his eyes, Ririchiyo was the sign of everything true and good, the sign of strength and courage, only she held that power over him. If she is able to overcome her own inabilities to communicate and try to become a better person, then why can't he do the same? Why couldn't he follow suit?

A piece of him will fight against such a ridiculous idea, but the voice will quickly be vanquished by his new found goal: to become a new man, one that can stand side-by-side to her. Isn't that one of the many reasons he asked her to be his future wife? Didn't the promise ring mean anything to him? Yes, yes it did. It meant more to him than anything else in the world.]

[He had finally made a decision! The first thing he will do is grab the bracelet and place it in his wrist. He was not going to disappear any time soon. No. He was going to try and take baby steps forward. But, maybe, for today, he could mourn for the loss of his master. It was going to be extremely lonesome without her...]

As you wish. I will do as you have suggested, Time Lord-sama, over facing my fears. [More like he will think about it, that is. As he says this, a smile will appear on his lips, a weak one, but it was a genuine smile.]

....you are not only wise, but a very thoughtful individual. It is uncertain if I will be able to overcome my fears, but your assistance was most enlightening. Thank you very much for taking the time to speak to me. I am in your debt.... [Maybe he should say his name here, but maybe not. Soushi was never good at promoting others into one such as friends. How does friendship even work?]

I promise to keep rule number 7 in mind for now on. Are there any other rules I should know of to enjoy the world? [More like, can you please tell him what rule one to six is?]

[ That's quite some progress, especially because it's Soushi, and so the Doctor smiles widely - genuine - in return. He had been uncertain about sharing so much of himself, but it seems to have worked, so he can move on from that now. ]

No. Well. Wait.

[ Pause. ]

There's number four hundred - you should always waste time when you don't have any. And number four hundred and eight - time's not the boss of you. They fit in this context.

["Time" was the magic word to be used against him. He never had a lot of free time to be on his own ever since he began to serve her. Well, he did have some free time, but most of his time was used dedicated exclusively to his master. Time he found most precious to dedicate on.

But now that she was gone, he will have to fill up his time on his own. A sigh will escape as he continue to ponder further about it. What should he do with his time now?]

That might be the only issue I possess at the moment. [Well, he is being honest.] To waste time. I do not hold many interests nor hobbies to fill an entire day with. [And.] ...it is difficult to find any sort of subject that isn't Ririchiyo-sama related to enjoy. ...she is the only one who has aided me to form interests.

[Looking down, he will say the follow silently:] Even if I was simply...imitating her...in the past. [His life is entirely centered and dedicated to her. ENTIRELY!]

[ Clapping his hands together! ]

Well, then! You've got an adventure in front of you. Oh, I love adventures.

[Do you see the face Soushi is making at you right now, Doctor?

THAT WOULD BE HIS POUTY FACE.

Soushi Miketsukami is now pouting at the Doctor.]

...to think Time Lord-sama would leave me without a guide, it pains my heart... [Sparkles. Black sparkles will literally surround him now.] Time Lord-sama, does my existance disgust you so? I never thought you would throw me out into the world. ...I thought we were friends...

[ W h a t.

He's unsure how serious Soushi is with this. ]

You're a big boy, Soushi. You can be thrown out into the world.
