Second Triskele ∴ Accidental Video
[The view is an unglamorous one, little fingers fiddling with the bracelet, the underside of Mordred's chin, and then an awkward angle of lancelot as the man attempts to cook for the child much more interested in staring intently at him, asking questions, or fiddling with the things within his reach, like slices of fruits that he tries to reach in front of Lancelot for while the man is midcut]
[Gently, the knight pushes his hand away] careful now, you could get hurt this way. It won't be much longer. [Somehow, when the fighting ended and the smoke cleared, he just fell into the position of babysitter. He finds he doesn't mind it in the least, it keeps the horrors away.]
[That is met with a small frown, Mordred retracting his hand] Do you say that because you are a knight?
I say it because it's logical. [He turns to offer a small smile to the child, one that reflects in his voice] Many parts of the code are simply logical or courteous. You will do well to embrace them yourself. I'm certain Morgana will be pleased. [He has learned by now that that name is the magic word - no pun intended - when it comes to Mordred.]
[And that magic word does its trick, earning a little peek and a lean closer as if he could somehow read the answer in Lancelot's face if he stole a glance at the right moment. But alas, in the end he has to ask] What is the code?
The Code is what the knights live by, it is what teaches us how we must act in every given situation. Every man must have a code of some sort, even if you do not embrace the code of Camelot. For instance the code of chivalry - living by it would have you put the needs of others before your own, being respectful and protective. Try kissing Morgana's hand next time you see her, that is part of the code of chivalry I'm quite certain she'll enjoy. Pull her seat out for her, do not seat yourself until all ladies present are seated, open the door for her and allow her to go through first - they may seem like trifles to you, but they are important.
... [Mordred goes quiet at that. Yet even so it is clear on his face that the seed has been planted in his mind. As he returns to playing with his bracelet, he bites his lower lip in thought, distracted as he spins the thing round and round his wrist until he effectively ends the feed without knowing it.]

Ah...yes. Perhaps a lesson in bracelet- awareness is needed next. [For both of them.]

Careful now, Sir. You might be a poor influence on the boy.
[ A tease made evident in the lightness of his eyes. There is surely no better a role model for Mordred, and such ... normality, homeliness, is a truly wonderful thing to see after all the fighting. He holds some of the odd disconnect that usually comes after the return to ordinary life after a campaign, where the mind struggles to remember what the days are meant to feel like without sword and blood in hand, but none of it can be seen in this. It's something to be cherished, he thinks. ]
[ video ]
He smiles at the screen and offers the prince a slight bow]
I will do my best not to corrupt him while you are occupied.

You know, I'm almost certain Arthur would say Morgana isn't included in the chivalric code. [His lips quirk into a fond smile.] The way those two argue sometimes.
[Then he just studies Lancelot for a moment. He won't say anything with Mordred most likely listening in, but Merlin's found that not all the knights of Camelot are as gallant as the tales say. Of that bunch, he can safely say Arthur (when he isn't being a prat of massive proportions) and Lancelot try to follow the code of honour to an almost ridiculous degree, closely followed by Leon and the rest of the new knights. Strange how that worked out.]
You're a good model for him. [Much better than those rebels Mordred had been working with before.]
[ not here ]
I am entirely certain that even if he would, he would mean it in jest.
[He smiles at his friend.]
I don't know of that, but I do my best.
Re: [Video]
[Yes that all went over Mordred's head]

A lot of boys should take a page out of your book, Sir Knight.
