Hi, um! I'm alive again, in case anyone was worried. Which you shouldn't have been! Everything that happened was my fault and I was kind of dumb, but, you know. If you were.. I really am sorry. I was reckless and that was selfish.

[ Jade's in her room again; she looks fine but certainly sleepy even as she rubs at her eyes with her wrist. ]

So it seems like we're gonna be here for a little while. A little while longer, at least, I guess? So Orihime and I were wondering if anyone wanted to help us work at the restaurant. Sweden's gone, so it's just me and her, and that's kind of a little much, even for the two of us!

If you're interested, would you let one of us know? I really, really love the Highwind, and I don't want to see it go out of business. We can pay you fairly!

Oh, no! Orihime is the cook. I'm the waitress.

[ Jade pauses, then shakes her head quickly, as if trying to reassure her. ]

Natives have helped out, too. They just haven't had much.. personality.

I know what you mean. [She winks.] I'll do my best to liven the place up.

[Oh wait she hasn't even been given the job yet, has she.]

Oops! I mean...after the interview, if it goes well? [She gives a guilty kind of giggle.]

[ Jade cracks up at that, shaking her head with a little laugh. ]

Do you promise to be a good waitress?

[Whew, she isn't angry. That's one bullet dodged!]

You bet! How big's the place anyways?

[ Not hard to dodge bullets with Jade! She's pretty easy going. ]

It's not very big, but we could use more help.

I bet. [Even with Native help, that's still a lot of work for two people.] When do you want me to come in?

Could you stop by in the morning? I can give you a tour.

You got it! [It's better than sitting around and moping.]

Where is it anyways? I can probably ask around, but everyone's so busy cleaning the city up.

[ Yep. That's why Jade's determined to throw herself back into routine. ]

It's in Heimdall. If you want to call me in the morning, I can meet you somewhere and show you the way.

Really? Thanks! [She likes this girl already!]

Maybe we can meet somewhere that isn't too far for either of us. I'm in Freya, what about you?

I'm from Sigyn, but I have a house in Baldr!

[ She likes Rise's attitude. ]

I'm Jade, by the way. Have we met?

Baldr and Freya... hey, they're right next to each other! That's lucky.

[She gives a happy little hum.]

I'm Rise. You know, I don't think we have met before. Kinda funny how we're still meeting new people after all this time.

It happens! [ Jade's ears perk at that, twitching once. ] I've been here for a few months, too. It definitely feels longer, though.

Doesn't help when the gods keep changing the rosters here either and then changing their minds all over again.

[She's definitely still unhappy about that, but she doesn't sound as irritated at the gods as usual. Because...well, Freyr.]

Between you and me, I think the gods are as much of a mess as we are, sometimes. That's definitely how it seems, at least.

[ She pauses. ]

How about I meet you at your god's house?

Yeah, it didn't look like any of them knew Freyr was going to be doing that. [A thoughtful, faraway look.] You grow up thinking gods are these all-powerful beings, but they're actually just as likely to make mistakes as we are.

[Rise shakes her head.]

I'm okay with meeting at the welcome hall. Is it just gonna be you and me?

Mmm. Some people do, maybe.

[ Religion had never been a big part of her life-- and while she's not outright dismissive, she's just never really thought about it. ]

It might just be me and you! Unless we need to take someone else along on the tour.

"Some people"...yeah. [It's different in some worlds, isn't it?]

Nope, just me, I think! Unless your friend Orihime wants to come along, too?

I'll ask her. It'd be a bit of a walk from Sigyn, though, but I bet she wouldn't mind making it.

We can use it for some girl-time! Since we're going to be working together and all.
