4th Mishmash ~ [Video]
[ This message comes a decent while into the battle, once the Doctor’s gathered some info and gotten an idea of how the situation looks. He’s doing his best to look less tired and more determined, and probably doing a good job of it. ]
If there’s someone still out there who doesn’t want to fight, you can find shelter in Folkvang, the spa in the Freya district. I can help you there, if you’d like, just ask. Or yell at me, or demand it, I’ll probably help you no matter what. With anything, not just getting you to safety.
The Doctor, that's me. So you know.
[ A slow breath. ]
This is war. If there’s anyone here who’s still got some fairytale-like idea of what war is, I’m telling you to reconsider it now, because it’s easy to hold onto that until you truly see it yourself. There’s no glory in war. None. All the heroics they talk about, the medals and pretty speeches, they’re not worth anything.
This is messy, devastating, people are going to get hurt and people will die. It’s not a possibility – it’s fact.
But there won’t be much time to mourn; you’ll have to do that later. If the battle can be cut short, it will be, but until then, you’re going to have to choose to fight or not, you’re going to have to look after yourselves, and more importantly each other. We’re in this together. It won’t be easy, but this is about your lives.
There will be healers out on the battlefield and there’s treatment to be found in the Arena if you get hurt or find someone who’s hurt. If someone’s hurt, protect them. We’re on the defensive side here, so let’s play that role to its fullest. You’re amazing, incredible, beautiful people, so you have something to defend. And there is glory in defending your lives and those you care about.
Good luck.

I can't say I'm much of a war strategist, I'm afraid.

I need to do more thinking. But I'm more about stopping wars than fighting them.
[Audio]
Isn't that the same thing?

[ She is fifteen and equipped with fluffy dog ears but absolutely and terribly earnest. ]

Right you are.
At least, you're not going to lose.

Got people defending you? [Meaning Folkvang but talk is cheap and time is money in times like this.]

[ Might want to be a bit more clear with your words, bro. That's the way to quick conversations. ]
