[Day 163] [Text / Action ]
Forensic Unit | Now Recruiting.
Founded Day 39, the Forensic Unit started out as a sub-section of the hospital laboratory, its members focused on using their experience in the art of observation and detection to investigate suspicious deaths and accidents occurring within the city as well as use their experience and knowledge to learn more about the city as a whole. As our members increased and our scope expanded, the Forensic Unit has expanded to become a hospital department in its own right. With Ragnarok on the very near horizon, the Forensics Unit is looking to put our collective experience in research and planning to even better use. To that end we're looking for new recruits.
If you:
Want to be involved in the war effort but don't fit the traditional role of a solider;
Have been involved in volunteer activities in the past or have experience organising people;
Are genuinely curious about this world we're in;
Enjoy research;
Are creative, flexible and reliable;
Then you might be what we are looking for.
If this interests you, please fill out the form below. Your honesty is appreciated but if you'd rather that the information you choose to share is not readily viewable to all on the network, feel free to use the private filter. Rest assured that your personal information will not be shared.
Yours,
Edogawa Conan.
[Private text | Directed at Arthur, Beckett, Castle, Merlin and Nakama.]
There's something I'd like to talk to you about in person. I've got a table at a cafe in Baldr. Hit the link for directions.

[She just wants to make sure she understands this.]
Re: [action]
[And really relieved that you're seemingly taking this well, Beckett.]
[action]
So why...do you look like this? Now?
[action]
Friend back home's working on a cure. She's managed to come up with pills that work temporarily. !2 of them showed up unexpectedly the other day. It seemed like the right opportunity.
[action]
[There's a moment where she just kind of stares at him, takes in how he looks, what he looks like, trying to wrap her head around the fact that it's temporary.
No matter how long she stays in Asgard, she can never seem to get used to everything that seems to come up. She wonders, briefly, if she'll ever get used to this kind of thing. Probably not.]
[action]
[And Shinichi's disgruntled enough about that not to disguise his tone. He hates this, Beckett.]
[action]
That's... [Finally she relaxes, sits back in her chair and just kind of looks at him.] Complicated. So you aren't actually an eight year old genius. [Just a high school one.]
[action]
And yeah. No matter what I look like -- inside, I'm seventeen. So -- when things get bad here, you don't need to worry about me like I'm a kid.
[action]
[just...less of one. She's going to worry about you either way, so that's just something you'll have to deal with.]
[action]
[action]
[Just...not going to say any more about it.]
[action]
[action]
For?
[action]
[action]
[action]
Shinichi's smile is wry. He's not usually prone to misreading people -- maybe he simply wants to be understood so much that he's making clumsy errors.]
You're right. But not everyone sees it like that.
[action]
But she does pick up on the smile, that something's wrong, and she sits up.]
Is there something else you're not telling me?
[action]
[action]
I can't say it's not difficult, because it is. But I don't know. I guess I just got used to it, thinking you were eight and a genius. The fact you're actually seventeen, and still a genius, doesn't really faze me.
[There's also the whole fact she's trying really hard to just take things as they come in Asgard, with how often strange things happen, so this doesn't bother her too much. At least he's still human.]
[action]
[action]
If it makes you feel better, okay. But really. Don't worry about it.
