✿ Chapter 012 [Audio] (Day 152)
Good afternoon, everyone.
[ Yep, another audio message from Hanako. The video confidence she had in the past was short-lived, considering all that stuff that happened afterwards. At least she sounds way less worn out than the last time. Her sleep schedule returned to normal thanks to Euri's charm. ]
Firstly, I want to thank all the people who took part in the replanting of the park. Your contribution was extremely helpful... hopefully we can keep going like this, in case there will be other attacks that will cause damage to the city.
Secondly... considering what we have gone through for the past month, I was thinking that it should be time for another traveller-based event like the Festival we successfully hosted. However, I would like to do something different this time, possibly something we never did before. The problem is, I am out of ideas as of now, so I wondered if any of you could have suggestions that might help us organize something. Like always, any kind of material or supportive help is very appreciated. If someone already decided on something, I would like to support it as well, so please let me know.
[ Okay. With that out of the way... onto another set of business. ]
The first Nightlight club meeting was nothing short of a success. Thanks to everyone that partecipated, hopefully we can extend the partecipation to other people for the next meeting.
For those who haven't read the series of books and might not know about the plot, I'll make a short summary. [ Since she's been asked this multiple times in the past post, so she's prepared herself just in case. ] It's a story with a mix of horror, action, fantasy, and romance, centered around the female protagonist who is a human and a male vampire, with the vast consequences their relationship will cause in the long run. I will not spoil anything else; you will have to read the volumes in order to reveal more of the plot. Since I took a real liking for these books, I decided to make a club for it.
...
Speaking of next meeting, I have decided about the date and subject. An idea you guys suggested enlightened me on what we could possibly do to contribute to the fandom. In my world, there are communities that are dedicated to write unofficial fictions of the series they are fans of. For those who might not know about them, they're called fanfictions.
They're basically written stories that are specifically directed to other fans of any series, regarding the characters and scenarios that already exist in the original setting. Anything that strays too far from the canon story is called Alternative Universe.
I thought that, for our second meeting, we could summon our creativity and write a piece of fanfiction about the Nightlight universe that we then share to each other. We can discuss each fiction with opinions and constructive criticism if necessary. You can either write a one-shot or a multi-chapter story. You can submit anything, too, as long as it doesn't have mature content in it. Some of our members are of minor age, and I would like not to subject them to... things like that. [ She pauses here, very awkwardly. ]
This is why I'm making an announcement in advance. We all have nine days at our disposal to write our fanfictions. The next meeting will be set on Day 161 unless something happens that will force me to postpone it; in that case, I'll let you guys know.
This is all I had to say. Thank you for your time, as always.
[ There is a click noise, as she cuts the audio communication down. ]
______________
((OOC: For the future writers, here's the pastebin with all the altered names of most characters to avoid fourthwalling. Needless to say, this is going to be the worst hideous thing I'm ever going to do.
Also, for those who wondered why I haven't made a log for that "replanting of the park" little plot, I decided to handwave it since I also had another plot to take care of, so we can assume that the people who accepted to help have gone there and planted things with Hanako /o/ ))

Well, festivals are one thing, Ikezawa-san. But what about a competition of some kind?
[please god don't combine the two ideas, though. A Nightlight fanfiction competition... it's the worst thing he can imagine being roped into.]

I'm assumin' since this wwas posted publicly that this Nightlight club isn't an exclusivve thing an' that you're acceptin' neww members.

[As for suggestions, Hanako might hear some light pencil scribbling in the background. After a pause, she adds more to her message.]
--Has anyone suggesting anything for the festival yet?
audio;
[ A pause. ] Ah, I actually wanted to do something different than another festival- but people did suggest me some things that could be a good alternative.

I am very interested in this fanfiction proposition. Tell me more. I'm not familiar with this Nightlight series.
[Though...vampires! That sounds awesome, right? She hopes it's like her teen complex anime.]
text
I wouldn't want to say much, to avoid spoilers. You can find all four books of the series in the Library, and if it's of your liking then you're welcome to join the club before the next meeting, so you can contribute with your own story.text
