There's something I've been thinking about for a while now. I want to build an airship. I've been here a few months now, and it feels strange being stuck on one island for so long, especially an island as big as this one.

So, I was wondering if anyone had experience with building ships? Or just mechanics in general, and would know how to make some of the parts? I'm sure there are schematics in the library, though Vyse and Enrique would know that better than me. The main thing I'm worried about is what sort of fuel it would run on, since there don't seem to be any moonstones in Asgard.

Oh, right! Aoto said that the airships in his world were probably very different to the ones I'm thinking of, so I drew a picture of one!

Well, you'd be able to go back afterwards! Just ... I thought you'd enjoy flying in a real pirate ship.

Maybe one that didn't look like it would fall out of the sky. Where are the wings at?

Well, the sails on the side are sort of like wings, right?

Something tells me that those won't generate any lift.

Of course they do. They turn up and down so you can catch the wind at the right angle.

...I don't even think I can explain it. The fact is, how the hell is that thing going to fly?

Well ... that's the trick, isn't it? In Arcadia, all the islands are in the sky, so you don't have to worry about getting the ship up there. But here, with just one huge mass of land below Deep Sky, I'm not exactly sure yet. But I'm sure we'll think of something! If it's one thing Vyse and I are good at, it's improvising.

I'm leaving the researching parts to Vyse and Enrique. They're much happier poring over books and schematics than I am. I just want to get in there and start building!

Way too much, maybe. But I only know Vyse too. Who was that other person you brought up?

Oh, Enrique just got here. It's ... kind of weird, actually. He's the Prince of the country we're fighting, but he says that he's on our side and that he gave us his ship to use and stuff. He and Vyse both come from my future. If that makes sense. It makes my brain hurt trying to figure out the time travel stuff involved in getting here.

Loads of countries have royalty. Valua, Nasr, Ixa'taka... Yafutoma's fabled to have one, too.
