I see... Well, a supermarket is a place that sells all kinds of food, from fruits and vegetables, to dairy, frozen foods, bread, rice, candy and desserts... You can find just about anything there.

Is it just one enclosed area with a lot of merchants, or is it just one big shop?

And there's not really merchants exactly... Someone owns the store, but employees keep the shelves stoked, run the register, things like that.

I heard Canterlot has a huge marketplace though.
