[ River can be seen wandering around the common area of Odin's Welcome Hall almost as though in a trancelike state. Her steps are light and even, ball to toe on bare feet, and her fingers trail over every object she passes even though her eyes are wandering curiously around the ceiling and the walls and the rest of the room - never to what she's touching. It might seem like she's looking for something, or even listening for something, but she doesn't seem to find it, and never once ceases her calculated footsteps. Eventually the video times out. ]

[ Some time later, the video clicks back on and River's face fills the entire feed, far too close as she tries to peer into the little jewel of her bracelet. She eventually gives up and pulls back to show brown eyes wide and curious, dark hair framing pallid skin that's ... almost gold in the scant lighting.

She's sitting in the middle of the slide, feet tucked underneath her to stop her from going down any further. Her eyes skitter around the confined space before settling back on the bracelet. She says only two words as a whisper, like if she says it any louder, it might break the spell. ]

It's quiet.

[ Then she lets her eyes catch up to her brain and she looks.

And she looks.

And then she screams. It's an instantaneous panic, from wide-eyed wonder to fear with the flip of a switch, and her cry rips from her throat like a pound of flesh, something altogether painful and pained. She's too panicked to just turn off the feed, so she ends up scraping at her wrist until the bracelet flies off and goes down the slide.

From there, the feed keeps going, showing only the gold of the slide and the corners of Odin's entrance. River can be heard in the background, still hysteric and crying 'blue, blue, Hands of Blue, everywhere,' and 'won't go, qǐng bùyào, won't' over and over. ]

[ The screaming, the shrieking, startles her. She almost shuts off the feed right then and there due to sheer surprise ( as well as to make the screaming stop ) but something keeps her from it. Curiosity? Mild concern for the screaming girl? Who knows, exactly ]

Hey. Hey! [ She tries to get River's attention before the bracelet goes flying. She flinches a little when the bracelet tumbles down the slide. Is it something to do with her or is it something else she saw in this place or-

Then she hears it.

Talk of blue - blue hands? - paired with the girl's hysterical crying. It is her. This girl's crying, her hysterics, it's all because of her. She looks down at herself as though to remind herself that she is, in fact, blue. Specifically, she looks at her hands. She feels bad for it, but she can't help but wonder if this girl's encountered someone like her before. She wonders if there's another blue-skinned shape shifter out there somewhere ( maybe she's not the only one ). It'd be nice to not be so alone sometimes. Sure, she has the others, the rest of the Brotherhood and even Charles and those who stayed with him, but it's not the same ]

Hey, calm down! No one's going to do anything to you! [ She's yelling now, trying to make herself heard. She obviously broke something so she has to at least try to fix it ]
