Back home we'd just follow a logical moral code - I dedicate myself to the appropriate acquisition and usage of materials blah blah blah let my ancestors and the god whose domain I utilize rot out my insides and return me to the lands from which we were born should I disgrace them - instead of having to go through useless tests and paperwork to get access to magical plants. I guess this is better than nothing, though.

That's so cute~! I don't know many guys here who can cook, so you're already one step ahead of them!

To answer your question - yes, it's really easy to make stock from regular edible mushrooms. As long as you don't have poisonous ones mushrooms are normally easy to work with!

Yeah! We made stews out of mushrooms all the time back home. [It's one of the few things she can cook well, actually.]

Why would you bother cooking for one person?

You'd starve if you didn't.

There're sandwiches, or... it just seems wasteful for only one person.

You can always cut the portion sizes down, use only half the ingredients.
